Lovecraft Country - Jordan Peele and Bad Robot Team Up on HBO

The FBI doesn't care about the average person downloading a show. Besides you're a few thousand miles outside of their jurisdiction.

They only seem to be keeping the basic framework of the book and changing everything else. And not for the better.

I am losing enthusiasm myself. Not sure why, maybe the book is better?

I still like the show, but it's almost as if different people created the pilot. (And maybe the second episode) I thought all the "real world" horror was done very well in the first episode, but that appears to be mostly gone now. And not just that, I thought that the characters seemed a bit "off" compared to earlier.

These last 2 episodes gave me American Horror Story vibes, and not in a good way. Overall just a dip in quality.

I was all about Michael Kenneth Williams' character in this episode until the very end. wtf was that?

The structure of this show is very weird, but I'd be lying if I said I still wasn't enjoying it because I am. The premiere is still the standout episode of this show so far, although I really enjoyed the last one, but I liked this newest one eventhough there was a lot going on.

I think the big issue with this episode was that it was a lot less focused. Rather thatn focusing it all on the main action of Tic, Letti, and Montrose, you have a decent chunk focused on Letti's sister and the white *****. It was not a great decision.

In the book the heir is a son, there is no daughter, and he and some white police officers force Montrose to steal the magic book. Idk why the TV show writers decided to disconnect the witch and deputies from the heist.

This week's episode was a wild ride. Which is saying a lot, given how wild the show as a whole has been. The body horror this time around was phenomenally pulled off to disgusting effect. While the focus on Ruby and Montrose's side plot did diminish I feel from addressing the ramifications of the ending to Episode 4, overall I loved it. Answered some questions and opened up new ones. I like that it's starting to click into a more cohesive narrative than the "mini-seasons" of the first few episodes.

This is a decent show but it's really unpopular.....the new ep was made available yesterday and no one bothered to pirate it lol
Well, the torrent crowd may not care for it, but it's a top trend every new episode, so I think it's safe to say its found an audience.

After this episode Ruby has easily become one of my favorite characters in this show. Loved the body horror stuff too and that's the kind of gross/gory stuff that I expect to see in a show H.P. Lovecraft in the title and thankfully they are living up to it so far. Also, some really interesting developments with Michael K. Williams's character.

Man I kind of loved tonight's episode and Jamie Chung needs to be in this show way more IMO, because she was fantastic in this episode. Such an interesting character and I would have honestly preferred it if this series would have started from her pov and showed how her relationship developed with Atticus and her mother.

Not fan of Asian folklore but it gave some backstory to Atticus when he was in the army.

I think this show is getting too strange for me. Like, where is this even going? :(

Totally disagree with the bold. They started with the main character as they should have. Plus with the Korean War ep we get a perspective of him we hadn't seen before, the whole ugliness of war thing. Wouldn't have been as powerful IMO if we hadn't spent time with him before now.
