Finally saw this last night. Felt more comedy than horror, in fact I didn't get scared at anything on the screen. Not the best film ever, but pretty solid. Good humor, a good plot and interesting premise. Music was perfect, acting was tremendous.

Also I love that if the movie Get Out existed in the world of Get Out, the parents would have told Chris how much they loved Get Out

FINALLY got a chance to see this today. Somehow I had managed to avoid all the spoilers even though I use twitter quite bit.
This is a damn good directorial debut for Jordan Peele. The performances are amazing, particular those by LaKeith Stanfield and Betty Gabriel. I have to admit the big twist as to what is going on caught me by surprise. The other twist with [BLACKOUT]The girlfriend [/BLACKOUT]wasn't a surprise at all, I think most people saw that one coming from a mile away.
I know some people didn't care for the comedy but it worked great for me. I know guys just like Rod and they talk JUST like that. The ending in particular really worked as it played with audiences fears and expectations. From what I understand the film was supposed to have a different ending, but because of recent publicized events Peele decided to change it.
After watching the film I've been reading and watching a lot of online reviews, and one very odd thing has stood out to me. A LOT of people seem to think the villains in the film aren't racist That's a bit disturbing to me that people can come away from this movie thinking something like that.
The entire point of the procedure is that they feel they're doing black people a "favor" by putting their superior brains in athletic black bodies (Which they feel are going to waste otherwise). Even the blind man at the party that claimed he wasn't racist is still racist for the simple fact that he places so little value on Chris's humanity that he's willing to take over his body and subjugate his personality.

The blind man isn't a racist. He says he doesn't care about skin color. He would use anyone regardless of skin color as long as they have "the eye" meaning the victim has to have artistic talent. So he doesn't fit the definition of a racist. He is however a sociopath and a psychopath. Which is a person that places no value on other human's lives.
As for the film, it was all right. Tense and weird, but not something I will rush to watch again or buy. But Ill be looking forward to Peele's next thriller. He clearly has talent and knows how to build tension.

The movie isn't just about the kind of racism that is "I hate black people." It is very much about the way back people and black bodies are consumed by the majority culture. People are willing to recognize and make use of the talent of black artists even if they don't respect them as people.

As I said it's a bit disturbing to me that people are coming away from this moving thinking the villains aren't "really" or "technically" racist.
Rose for instance had no problem having sex with black people, but at the end of the day clearly didn't value their basic humanity or agency. Near the end of the film she's even made to look like a big game hunter on an African Safari near the end.
Some people are really twisting themselves into knots trying to diminish the racism of those characters. I even saw one reviewer that said he thought they weren't just doing the procedure to black people......even though everything we were shown told us they were specifically targeting black people.
