Joseph Kosinski Plans Mysterious Action Thriller

Oblivion and TRON: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski has lined up a mysterious new project in the form of an untitled action thriller scripted by Chris Cantwell and Chris Rodgers. Deadline reports that Kosinski plans to develop the property alongside Media Rights Capital.

Precisely what Kosinski's next project will be remains to be seen. His name has been connected to Warner Bros. Pictures' big screen Twilight Zone film and is still said to be connected to a TRON: Legacy sequel, although updates on the status of that film have been few as of late.

I wonder if this could be his first film outside of the Sci-Fi genre.

Universal has optioned Evan Hughes' article investigating a legendary teen drug dealer, who was also working as an FBI informant

White Boy Rick will be an interesting step in a new direction for Kosinski, who is known for his sci-fi films Tron: Legacy and Tom Cruise-starrer Oblivion.

The two movies grossed $686 million worldwide and Kosinski has been attached to several other sci-fi projects in the past few years, including a Tron sequel and a big-screen version of The Twilight Zone. He's repped by CAA and Hirsch Wallerstein.
