I downloaded the trailer from the PSN Store, and I don't see a thread on it. This is the next game from the makers of Flower (which I have not played), and it looks incredible.

I hope this comes out very, very soon.

Here's the description from the website:

The pioneers that brought you the award-winning PlayStation®Network titles flOw & Flower® are back with another title that challenges traditional gaming conventions. With Journey, thatgamecompany (TGC) continues its tradition of delivering simple gameplay and accessible controls in a rich interactive environment that invites players to explore and experience emotional chords that are still uncommon in video games.

An exotic adventure with a more serious tone, Journey presents TGC’s unique vision of an online adventure experience. Awakening in an unknown world, the player walks, glides, and flies through a vast and awe-inspiring landscape, while discovering the history of an ancient, mysterious civilization along the way.

Journey’s innovative approach to online play encourages players to explore this environment with strangers who cross their path from time to time. By traveling together, they can re-shape the experience – creating authentic moments they will remember and discuss with others.

Yeah, I definitely have my eye on that. I'll be downloading it on day one, probably.

Well no surprise, but Journey is getting tons of 9's and 10's from reviewers. It was already a must buy for me, but it's really nice to see it get great scores.

I totally forgot this was coming out so soon. I'm really excited to play it, but I'm not so excited to increase my backlog by yet another game. :/

Tell me about it. I will buy this day one, but ME3 is going to dominate my March.

Man both this and that Doctor Who game are coming this month! :awesome:

Mass Effect 3 is going to have to wait. :o

Seems like a typical playthrough of this game is less than two hours... I might wait until it's on sale or something. :/

It's no surprise that the critics loves Journey. Thatgamecompany's previous work was fantastic and I expect nothing less for this. However, I'll probably play it later down the line.

Plus members can get the game a week early. It's the same price, but you get a custom dynamic theme as as the game.

Aw. :csad: I want a theme, why can't they just include that in the purchase? :argh: PSN is slowly turning in X-Box live.

Fear not Squirrely McSquirrelyson! You can still preoder the game next week and get the theme as well!!

I agree, this game looks fantastic. It really has a soul. I can't wait to play it. I tried the demo of flower. It was beautiful and very inventive, but it wasn't that engaging to me. It lacked something. Journey on the other hand, seems to be really engaging.

If you haven't played this game, do yourself a favor and do so... preferably alone in a dark room.

(Flower was better)

I still loved Journey though!

Amazing game. It was like playing a beautiful, silent film!

I was rather emotional at the end, I must say.

KALEL114, that Adventure avatar is great!! It also lets me know you'll get this reference: When I went to a friend's house to try Journey I jokingly asked if it was an update of the Atari 2600 game Journey Escape. Turns out it kind of is, gameplay-wise. (Just keep running!) :woot:

I finally got it. It was outstanding. The ending was so emotional... the music is awesome...

This I think, is one of the only truly ground breaking games this generation. One of the best games on PS3. Do yourself a favor and buy it if you haven't already.

I'm thinking of getting this...but it's $15 and I hear it can be won in like 2 hours.......

Can someone tell me how it's worth the price? I'm really interested in all your opinions.

I think it can easily be done in less than 2 hours. But it's ground breaking. not only the visuals are stunning, but the mood is incredible and the score is amazing. I also thin the replay value is great. Not because the gameplay is extraordinary (it isn't. the gameplay is very simplistic), but because it's a fascinating experience... It's a true journey.

It'll make you weep.

I've been meaning to give this a try but I've been trying to not buy any more games considering how many I own that I've yet to beat, but I think I can make an exception for this one and download it. I've heard nothing but great things.
