Great little movie. I wouldn't call it the best movie of the year, like many are hyping it as. But it is amazingly warm, genuine and the characters feel real, as does the story. I do think it is a little ridiculous how everyone in Juno's family and a few random people on the streets talk with that sardonic sassy pluckiness, exactly like Juno...I think the writer overused it, but hey no one complains that everyone in Woody Allen and Kevin Smith movies talk exactly like their writer(s). So, I look past that and it really just had a lot of spunk and I think ellen Page was REALLY good. Allison Janney stole the show, JK Simmons was as good as usual and Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman really brought it home, with two potential cliches and made them feel real and empathetic (and creepy in Bateman's case). A strong second picture for Reitman.

Saw it tonight with my peeps. And, yea, I agree 100% with you, man.

but this is probably the best comedy I've seen this year

Knocked Up and Superbad were better.

i was surprised most by bateman and garner. you start off thinking yer gonna love bateman and garner will be a little priss. but nope, clever how it was arranged in switching roles almost.

loved garner, great performance...

Movie finished 3rd this weekend which is quite impressive

I just saw it. I thought it was pretty good, had a great cast. Michael Cera got a bit overshadowed by everyone, though. I was surprised to see J.K. Simmons as a quiet character after being used to his J. Jonah Jameson for the last five years. I thought Juno's friend was pretty cute. And I thought that the whole scene where Juno and her father visited the adoptive parents was hysterical, especially the line "I'm already pregnant, what other shenanigans can I get myself into?". The only problem I had were some of Juno's lines early in the film when she was in the pharmacy and when she was talking to her friend on the phone. Who talks like that? But afterwards, the dialogue seemed less awkward. I'd give it an 8/10. It was good, but the critics are overrating it a bit much.

By the way, did the opening credits remind anyone else of "Napoleon Dynamite"?

Man, I'm telling you....it hit all the right notes, at least with me.
Everyone was SO good, the music was great, it made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me feel so great, honestly.

Michael Cera & Ellen Page singing "Anyone else but you" made me choke up. Call me corny or whatever, but man, you could feel the love between them and we should be so lucky to feel something like that in our lives.

damn it. I still havn't seen it yet. I've been busy watching seasons 1 and 2 of Alias and thinking of heading out in a few to get season 3.

I'll try to make time to see Juno. I promise.
