I saw the movie. It was good, but I'm glad I didn't pay to go see it. Seeing it online was good enough for me. The dialogue was a little overused and it had that Napoleon Dynamite feel to it. I liked both Jason Bateman and Michael Cera. I love Arrested Development so I actually watched the movie for those two guys. But everyone else was great too. Ellen Page was pretty good and I was surprised by Garner's acting. She did very well. And to answer DarknessofDeath:
Yes, I think Vanessa rasies the kid on her own. Bateman's character leaves her and I don't he comes back. I guess it shows you that you don't have to be a perfect couple to raise a child. As long as the kid is loved, that's all that matters.

I thought so. I felt for her though cause after wanting a baby for so long, she thought her husband was ready but he backed out at the last minute which made Juno upset. The last scene with Garner and baby pretty much sums it up but as her story concluded, I knew she was going to be just fine. The thought of Garner with baby is so cute...

Anyway... what was everyone else's fave part?

BTW, the dialogue didn't bother me cause its typical of a character like Juno would say. lol shazam.

You have to remember that Juno as a character is suppose to be offbeat. I wouldn't use the word weird, but she's a pop culture sponge, like me. I've met people like that and the only character that has supposed 'over-saturated' dialogue is her, and it's fitting. She's not suppose to be an average girl.

Yes they are. They've got a dose of personality that you know most people wouldn 't have in them. I kept laughing though. I found Juno kinda strange and dorky. lol Nothing wrong with that. again, i guess the reason why talks the way she does is she's got kinds of different emotions bottled up inside of her and she doesn't know how to you know just let them all go without feeling like crap about it or maybe its because she wants to say something off her mind, she wants to say it but when she wants to it comes out differently than how you thought about it in your mind.

but Juno is 16 and yeah she probably has a lot on her mind, yet apart of it could just be how she precieves whats going on around her and the world.
 
well today is saw juno and against my will. I only went cause my gf wanted to see it.. and im kinda whipped :D

but i was happy i saw it. the story was very good and i really felt for the characters. also it had lots of little funny moments. the only thing i didn't like was the Napoleon Dynamite feel to the movie.
other than that i recommend the movie

Saw it about two weeks ago and was very disapointed. I dont think ive ever heard a teenager talk like such an idiot. Yes i know they do talk somewhat like that but youd think she would be more polite to parents who want to adopt her child. That wasnt funny, it was just annoying to me. Overall it was decent, could have ben good with some better dialogue

I dont think i want to get out if i have to hear more people talk like juno. I will agree that most teenagers use the same amount of cuss words as juno tho.
 
well I don't think teenagers talk like Juno. She's unique, which is what makes the movie interesting.
 
Totally overrated movie. Only thing I liked about this movie was Jason Bateman's character.
 
I'll check it out at the end of Feb, hope it's a good enough film to be nominated in Best Picture category.
 
I must be in the minority here...why is this pic up for Oscars? Ugh! This movie is highly overrated.
 
I put this as one of the biggest snorefests I have ever endured in a movie. Only idiots who dug Superbad love this movie due to that kid. Jeezus what a crap movie.
 
Superbad and Juno are 2 completly different movies and the fact that Cera (the kid from superbad and only reason people liked juno according to you) is actually not that prominant in Juno. Sorry your reasoning for why people like it is wrong.
 
This isn't exactly the kind of movie I'm used to seeing,but I might check it out. I love Ellen Page in everything she does.:woot:

A. "Superbad" and "Juno" are two different types of comedies.

B. "Superbad" was a good comedy, and most people liked it. I'd assume you would rather watch some stupid crap like "Meet the Spartans".

C. Why don't you run a nice hot bath and take a toaster in there with you?

While I still thought it was a good movie, I don't understand how this was nominated for Best Picture and "Sweeney Todd" wasn't.
