Jurassic World - Part 4

I don't understand Koepp's reasoning there. The first movie flowed as if we were getting a tour of the dinosaurs anyway. We saw Brachiosaurus, then Triceratops, then T-Rex, then Dilophosaurus, Brachiosaurs again, Gallimimus, and then a full view of the Velociraptor, with T-Rex showing up twice again later on. It wasn't really chaos like that stampede scene in The Lost World where there were a bunch of different dinosaurs on the screen at the same time.

Yep. Also, if anything, Grant & the Kids having the Rex chasing them, and running into other dinosaurs, who are now running the Island adds nothing but chaos.

NBC owns Universal and the trailer is supposed to show up on Thanksgiving. It wouldn't shock me if they show the trailer during the Thanksgiving prime time football game.

It's going to crush me if the T Rex doesn't pop up in this trailer.

When does the football game start? The countdown clock ends Thursday at 6 PST.

Little over dramatic no? It will crush you? Yikes I don't wanna be around you if there's no Rex in the trailer hahaha.

Since we're posting pictures and all, Tool guitarist Adam Jones working on a Dilophosaurus model for JP:

I just watched the Spinosaurus reveal where it attacks the plane on Youtube. It feels like a TV movie. And the dinosaur itself doesn't feel authentic, but indeed, just like an painted animatronic. No atmosphere, tension or sense of threat. The two Spielberg films at least had that.

You mean there wasn't any threat or tension in this great scene?

:o

That scene was terrifying. Terrifyingly bad. :cwink:

The Eddie Carr death messed me up as a kid.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one. As a five year old what only went through my mind was, "But... all he was doing was trying to help his friends." :csad: And that sound.

This is one the best scenes in TLW. The whole scene leading up to them storming the camp with Ian walking amongst everyone sleeping. Seeing the puddles do the ripple effect. It's just epic to me, and it was beyond awesome to see not one adult Rex in this film but two. Gotta love ILM's fx work as well, these dark jungles scenes the animals looked so good.

That entire scene is fantastic. That very subtle long take with Malcolm waiting for Tembo and co. to come back to Tembo's explanation of what they have to do next. People love to praise the very obvious long takes, but I prefer Spielberg's because you don't notice them.

And I always appreciated the subtle character growth for Malcolm in the Rex scene. He certainly learned from his mistake in the first and wasn't gonna repeat it, to the extent of crawling through the bushes. Always loved that.

Exactly!

Hmm...Exactly? Yes! :D

That look on the raptor. Man that is one of the last things you'd want to see before you die.

It's almost like a terrifying grin... :wow:

That's an interesting teaser. I can't wait for the full trailer!

That's my one main gripe with JP3 or the trilogy as a whole. Specifically the animatronic Spino. He had no life or authenticity as you said like the Rex from JP or TLW. Heck even any animatronics from the films. The cuts from the animatronics to CG in JP, TLW and even some of the other creatures in JP3 looked great and real. Not with the Spino though.

Agreed I love the long takes and I love Malcolm's realization during that scene of what he should do as he's learned from his mistakes.

The trailer has been classified and it is 2 minutes and 33 seconds.

Well, this thread has encouraged me to rewatch the movies.
