Damn. I'm unreasonably happy about that trailer. Wished we got a shot of a T-Rex, but they're saving that good stuff for later on. The Raptor shot was really cool. Thought Pratt rolling with a pack of Raptors would look dumb, but guess I was wrong there. Also, Shamu Croc was terrifying. How do they keep something like that in captivity? Jeezus.

Looks like a lot of fun. I'm not going to disappoint myself by assuming this will be as good as the first one but if it's as good as #2 I'll be happy. Great cast too, love Pratt and Bryce Howard and the Iron man 3 kid is pretty cool as well.

Trailer was awesome! though the dialouge seemed iffy, I imagine like most trailer the lines are out of context/chopped up. But I'm stoked, movie looks beautiful visually too, may need to touch up the CGI a bit in some shots, but tons of time left, can't wait!

Inititally I thought the idea of tamed raptors was kind of bad, but seeing that scene in the trailer kicked freaking @ss

T-Rex, velociraptors and cuttlefish. So its like a bigger Carnotaurus with longer arms.

I think the trailer looks solid. I'll reserve judgement on the CG. Conceptually I'm still into the idea. I like that the trailer held back on full reveals for the T-Rex and new dino.

If it is a Mososaur it doesn't have legs just fins therefore it can't walk away like a croc would. lol

Sure there was. I'm not really a fan of either franchise so both have to actually work if they want my attention/money.

Mixed feelings about this. Dialog in this was really weak and gives a very sci-fi channel-ish feel. I will say this in its favor, the original films never got the chance to deal with dinosaurs attacking when the park was fully functional so that's something. Dunno.

What would you have proffered? There's been so many terrible and panned concepts of sequels to this franchise from militarizing dino's with lasers, to the army going to war against the islands.... all which basically have gone against the concept of "life finding a way"

The jurassic park franchise has always carried certain themes... about not playing god, about life finding a way, about how animals can be both beautiful and deadly... That's why the panned concepts always failed.. they were basically being garnished as Michael Bay films...

I can't honestly think of a better way to honor the franchise and it's messages better than to go back to a fully realized theme park.




That being said... i do hope for a few things. I hope the park wasn't built on the same part of the island as the original, i'd love to see the original visitor center in ruins, sadly we wont ever get to see them visited by any of the original cast though :/

But I think the franchise is in the right direction. I don't know where they'd go next though

Yeah I get that, but you'd need a bunch of ocean to hold it. Something that big decided it wanted to bust out of it's walls, I don't imagine there's much they could do about it. I'm sure they got something in the movie explain how security is so much tighter this time around. Makes for a damn cool visual though, dwarfing a great white and all.

the theme of the Jurassic Park and 'World' is that man lives in arrogance and ignorance. People go 'Why would they open the park? Blah blah blah'. We'll look at the real world and how things are so cirucluar; like how it seems like we don't learn.
