I'd say they went with the good parts, but to each their own. This looks boring/dumb. Like they took all the bad parts of the the past three and rolled it all up into this one.
Im underwelmed.

I agree with this, though I do feel the Superbowl spot gave it some intensity it was seriously lacking with the first trailer. I feel much better about it today then I did after the first trailer.I think it looks okay as a lark, I'm still not convinced anything too memorable is going down.
I completely get this. Which is one of the major problems with taking the original idea and trying to play twister with it. This film could spend more time reminding you of the original then doing its own thing.I think this movie will end up being good, but nothing special. The trailers appear to have some of the magic the first one had, but more in a nostalgia kind of way that makes you appreciate the first film, not so much this one.
True. There are quite a lot of visual callbacks in the trailers. In an ideal (jurassic) world I'd like a film which has the feel of the original but has it's own identity. This film could spend more time reminding you of the original then doing its own thing.
What does it mean to be overly negative? Not as boring as being overly negative before seeing it
I agree the idea is right for a JP sequel. Far better then the first two sequels in terms of ideas imo. It is now all down to execution.True. However I think there's enough differentiation in there with the park having been open for a long time. Plus with the marketing people creating an i-Rex to boost attendance. Something amazing and impossible (living dinosaurs) has been normalised to the point people need something more to sustain interest.
However this ends up quality wise, I think they had the right ideas in terms of making another Jurassic Park movie.

That's the Indominus Rex, no longer D-Rex.
I dont understand why people are so hung up about trained raptors from birth. Heck killer whales are trained and even sometimes theynturn on there handlers, same with animals in zoos with attacks we see on youtube. Wild dangerous intelligent animals can be trained but stll deadly at any moment for humans.
Yes, that's all the same. The name is the only thing that changed.Yeah, about that...
Will the I-Rex still possess Cuttlefish, Velociraptor, Death Adder, etc genetic codes?
