Jurassic World - Part 8

So what dose ever one think the RT score will be and what will be the over call thought about the movie? I think it will get around a 85 score and I think it will be not as good has the first one but a good worthily sequel and much better then 2 and 3.

I'm mildly interested in the movie and wanted to check out the reviews on RT and was surprised there were none. Has this movie not had any press screenings yet or is the embargo not lifted until the last day? Either way, that's kind of alarming for such a major release.

Embargo lifts on Wed.

Love it :hrt: also Hunter did you read those spoilers we were just discussing? Curious seems so far I'm the only one not bothered by on particular spoiler while others are. Was wondering your view.

I haven't read those LEGO JP spoilers, but is it the kind where you don't have to worry about since it's a LEGO video game and they tend to embellish and make things more ridiculous or one of those things you can't make up and can see being in the movie?

I'd say both are likely, though I'd lean towards the latter.

I dunno we will have to see, but the one particular spoiler that's bothering some doesn't seem like a big deal really to me  but that's me. Was curious if Hunter or any others are bothered by it or also don't really mind.

ugh dude, you do have to accept though it is a legitimate bother and sort of a big deal to some, in the same exact sense that you think it isn't. Doesn't mean I don't like it, was just expecting for/hoping for something different.

It just seems too easy. Like instead of doing some a bit more complex, more nuanced, they went with something extremely bland.

I know that and understand that. And that's fine haha. I wasn't making a big deal out of that. If it bothers some that is fine and I understand why it might. I am just saying it doesn't bother me and I was asking Hunter if it bothered him. Or if there were any others besides me that are also not bothered by it. Just making conversation not starting problems or complaining about others views on it.

Has Hunter seen it yet? I thought he was seeing it tomorrow.

I don't see what the big deal about that (possible) spoiler is either.

It helps establish the fact that thse are basically animals and you can't really count on their obedience when a situation goes out of control.

The issue is iRex's magical ability
to seemingly command and control animals of different species. That is rather far fetched and deviates pretty far from the pretty grounded reality of the series. That ability runs directly contrary to the fact that these are supposed to be animals and not movie monsters.

I think the fact that it's a genetically modified monster is exactly why it's plausible.

That's not a dinosaur. That's a K'Chain Che Malle.

The movie got a 5 out of 6 in the biggest paper here.

If you search Lego Jurassic world on twitch, a guy is playing it right now. Pretty sure it's the vita version. He's doing TLW right now.

Ah. Ouch. Not liking that at all.

Eh, maybe it'll grow on me, but that isn't as exciting as I would have hoped.

I like that.
I think the T-Rex knows that her only real chance is to push it somewhere, and definitely noticed the Mosasaur. People wouldn't believe that the T-Rex vs. I-Rex mano-y-mano would be a fair fight, and I agree.

The raptor that gets a closeup at the very end that sort of chirps when Pratt holds up the mouse looks insanely good!

Yeah it does I think so too. I'm really digging the look of these Raptors too. I like the style they went with.

Going to see this on Saturday.

Also, am I the only one who really hates that people are wanting to spoil this for themselves by watching the LEGO gameplay? Why not wait until you see this stuff in the context of the movie? You people clearly want to despise this film and it's this mindset that I really hate where you form your opinion about a movie beforehand and refuse to change it.
