I would prefer a prehistoric, ocean-dwelling dinosaur to a shark. Something big. With the right setting, they'd have a fair shot at recapturing the awe of the rex's escape in Jurassic Park.

To be fair, they were kids in the original so it wouldn't be too weird for them to re-cast them as adults. Films/sequels do it all the time.

I could actually see Howard as an adult Lex.

I think aquatic dinos are overdue. Could look great visually and play up to the 'what lies beneath', Jaw-sy type thing which hasn't been covered in the series.

Do you mean Meg? Steve Alten who wrote the book has been promising that movie for nearly 15 years now. I doubt it'll happen at this rate.

Mosasaurs would be awesome. The smallest were 11 feet, the largest around 60. I don't know how we'd get aquatic DNA but they can do some kind of b.s. explanation for that.
