THEY'RE DEFINITELY WORTH IT, I HAVE MY PS3 HOOKED UP TO A SONY 50" HDTV THAT GOES UP TO 1080I AND ANOTHER SONY HDTV, THIS ONE IS 55", THAT GOES UP TO 1080P, BOTH ARE HOOKED UP TO HOME THEATER SYSTEMS, ONE OF THEM BEING 7.1 SURROUND SOUND!!! I LOVE MODERN TECHNOLOGYup:

IMO, Samsung makes the best HDTVs. Plus I love the way they look. Very good design. It was the single most expensive thing Ive purchased so far but it was definetly worth it

There isn't a big difference between 720p and 1080p if you sit 1.5 times the width of your screen. There are other factors other than resolution that come into play in regard to good picture quality.

Samsung also has great black levels and I rmr some of you saying you wanted the Pitch Black DVD in HD. That and the Sony Aquos would be the best at 32 inches. Once you go higher, anything name brand (hitachi, sony, samsung, lg even) is fine.

I have a 37" AKIA or something like that. Got it at a store for 1/2 price since it was a display model. I was giong to get a 32" Samsung, but when I saw the 37" for half the price, even though a different company, i was like "Screw it, I'll get the bigger one". I love it.
