Okay so if you know me, you know I was getting excited about Christmas when it was 116 days away (that's no lie). There's actually ALOT coming for PS3 this Christmas, despite the Unreal Tournament push back. So, what be ye getting off this list?:

Big Releases - What's hot for the holidays

Army of Two- This has actually been one of my most anticipated titles so far this gen. I'm a BIG co-op fan so this is a must for me.

Haze- I've made it clear I think this game will be solid at best, I'll buy it when its cheap.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune- This looks fantastic, I think its on pretty much every PS3 owner's list for this Christmas.

Assassin's Creed- Despite recent worries, I believe this game'll be the first true next-gen experience. Its going to rock hard.

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men- Like Army of Two, I love co-op, but these games look very similar so I'll have to make up my mind on which comes first.

Half Life 2: The Orange Box- Nearer to Christmas release for us, but its getting great reviews all round and is easily the best value for any video game ever.

Call of Duty 4- This will probably be the best FPS this holiday with Unreal Tournament out of the way, it'll clam alot of people wetting their pants for Killzone 2 aswell.

Blacksite: Area 51- I know little of this game, but it look okay, reminds me of Resistance, just prettier.

Cliver Barker's Jericho- I love the demo and I think it looks very unique and different. F.E.A.R. eat your heart out.

John Woo's Stranglehold- Solid demo, apparently a good game, though I'm thinking more when its cheap.

Folklore- Okay not so much a Christmas release, but it looks to be a solid, original game, I'll probably pick it up at some point.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction- A bit of platforming will be welcome to PS3, what with how many FPSs there are right now, I think it looks fantastic and will be THE next-gen platformer until either Banjoo Kazooie 3 or Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.

Spare Change - Games out now that you've waited for

Resistance: Fall of Man- Chances are you've already got this, but its a decent game, and cheaper by the minute now.

MotorStorm- Still my favourite PS3 game. The rush you get from it is insane, buy it if you haven't.

Call of Duty 3- You probably favoured Resistance over this at launch, and have been sidetracked with other games since, but now its down in price (at least in the UK) I reckon it'll be worth a look.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance- I haven't had the heart to dish out £40 for this yet, but I may well do soon. Its gotten solid reviews and I liked the X-men Legends games.

Heavenly Sword- God knows I don't want this game, but some of you may I guess...

The Darkness- A fantastic FPS which I've never got round to buying, but intend to do so sooner or later.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion- With over 200+ hours of enjoyable play, you can't really go wrong with this title.

F.E.A.R.- Probably the worst of the PS3 shooters, but a solid game, though I'd recommend getting the cheaper, better, PC version, where the expansion packs can be played.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas- Brilliant game. Best PS3 shooter so far. Buy it or die.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent- Looks okay, never really got into the series myself. Enjoyed Pandora Tomorrow, but that's all I played.

Or hey if you're really up for it...

Hot PSP Games

Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadren- Apparently Battlefront 2 on PSP was okay, so a 100% PSP focused one could be quite good. Just... why only on PSP?

Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice- The first was a good game, so I'm sure this'll live up to expectations

SWAT: Target Liberty- Ripped straight out of the excedingly good Killzone: Liberation, this is bound to be a great shooter, and encourage developers to make more games like this. I'm personally hoping for a Resistance PSP game just like this.

Silent Hill: Origins- This game's got near PS2 quality graphics, and benefits from not needing that other bloody analog nub that doesn't exist. Probably PSP's killer app this Christmas.

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow- Should be good cause... well the last one was.

Bearing in mind, I'll probably pick up Ratchet and Call of Duty 4 before Christmas, I'll probably get 3 games for Christmas, and so far, those look to be:

Uncharted
Half-Life 2: The Orange Box
Assassin's Creed

With whatever money I get leftover from Christmas I'll get Army of Two probably, then save for the BIG first quater of 08.

Nice list, man. But I'm a poor ass college student with only a PS2 to his name, so my Christmas list looks more like this: Kingdom Hearts 2, Bully, FFXII, and Up Your Arsenal. Around $88 for all that, so I'm gonna get a way better deal than you possibly could, but you can end the arguement by just saying you own a PS3.:csad:

Don't worry, I'm not getting all those haha, if I'm lucky I'll get 3, probably 2. Which puts me waaaaaaaay behind in the "Games I want" list too. :(

Realisticly, Drake and Rachet are the only two games I know for sure I will get. Haze, like I mentioned before, is a toss up. Assassins Creed is a game I want to have faith in, but I need to see alot more of it as well. It was just too buggy in the E3 presentation, so I don't have much to go by. Great list by the way Electro.

Thanks, though it made me realise the PSP's got next to nothing I want right now.

Indeed. Oh well, I guess we will just have to play some killer PS3 games instead.

Yeah, better the PSP lacks than Ps3.

Uncharted and Assasins Creed are the only must haves for me. Im seriously considering Ratchet and Clank and might get Tony Hawk and/or Haze

Out of the big games there I would definately go for:

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Stranglehold
Haze
Assassin's Creed

As for the spare change... I already own:

Resistance: Fall of Man - Great game, great multiplayer and just a great FPS
MotorStorm - I need to play this more sometime, maybe get some mates round for a big race
Call of Duty 3 - This is a good enough game, at times I wonder why I bothered with it but at other times I can't stop playing it
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - Forget spending £40 for it... I got it in GAME brand new for £25 at least 2 months ago, it's a decent game, lots to do but there are better out there
The Darkness - Very innovative and unique, I played the demo one day and bought the game the next
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Does this game ever end?
F.E.A.R. - Very freaky, kinda has a nice Silent Hill scariness about it which is why I love this game

No cheap games for me :(

Nice. I just added FFXII to my game collection. I have yet to play it. Does anyone have an opinion on it? Are there lots of abilities you can learn that are long range but don't take up much mana, like a fireball? If I had a PS3, I would get Uncharted, RaCF, and Haze. Haze looks like a very promising FPS, and the other ones are must buys, cuz everyone likes good platforming, just look at Mario. I wish Uncharted was longer though.

If I get the $400 model for Christmas, I'll probably go out and buy Heavenly Sword and maybe Sigma.

If I can get my hands on Rock Band for Christmas then I'll be just happy as a clam. But if that's not gonna happen, then I guess that Rainbow Six Vegas, Haze, or Eye of Judgment will have to do.

LET'S SEE, THESE ARE DEFINITE BUYS FOR ME, I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH, FOR THE MOMENT!!!:D:up:

Haze
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Assassin's Creed
Half Life 2: The Orange Box
Call of Duty 4
Blacksite: Area 51
Folklore
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction

You dont have RSV??? Go now and buy it!!!!

Rock Band is a release day buy for me. Something to play during thanksgiving with the younger kids in the family.

For me it's

PS3
Uncharted Drakes Fortune - THis game has pretty much silenced all my earlier concerns about it, now that it's coming close to completion. If it's anything like Jak I and II, I'm sure I'll be playing it and replaying it for a LONG time.
Half Life 2 Orange Box - The PS3 version will be arriving a week or two after the PC and 360 version but I'll be getting the PS3 version for the FragFX controller compatibility so I can play HL2 the way it was meant to be played.

MAYBE
Haze - I'll wait for reviews, I never really liked Timesplitters and I might be FPS=ed out considering the awesome of orange box.
Assassins Creed - Again, reviews, or a demo.

I already own
Resistance: Fall of Man - It's not as good as Halo 3, but it's pretty close, and better then Halo 2. Well I'm torn on which has the better campaign, frankly Halo has had a bad campaign and narrative structure since Halo 2, which really annoys me.
Virtua Fighter 5 - Best 3D fighting game on the market
Motorstorm - I didn't really like this one, I wish it just had a quick race option.

PSP
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions - no duh!
I already own
Daxter
Killzone Liberation - Awesome game
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops - Good game

Definites:

- Uncharted
- Assassin's Creed

Strong Maybes:
- Folklore
- Haze

Curiousities I might check out:
-Ratchet&Clank 4
-Rock Band
