I've just come home from seeing this and it's CRAAAAAZYY good. A must see in theaters. Freaking awesome.
Glad you enjoyed it Mirko, how long is the run time ? You think it sets up for a sequel ?
I think like 100 minutes or so. Not really, no. But I guess they could go anywhere. Vague answer, I know
MPAA Rating: R. Running time 110 MIN.

Mark Millar said:JUST BACK FROM WANTED PREMIERE, OKAY, GONNA KEEP THIS BRIEF...
...but the movie is literally 541 times better than I eve remembered. The cut they had me out to tweak a few months back was brilliant and had me super-charged, but I will go down on record here and now and say this polished version takes action movies to a whole new level. It's not even about raising the bar anymore. After Timur, there is no ****ing bar!!!
But what a night. My wife and I bumped into JG and his girlfriend as we were leaving our hotel and shared a limo (in the interests of the environment, you understand) and were shocked to find photogs and TV cameras screaming at us as we steped onto the red carpet. Been to a lot of premieres lately, but as a writer nobody ever gives a **** of course. What was weird here is that these guys had little photos of all the people they had to snap or interview and it was a crazy, mental experience to have handlers, be given 120 seconds with each TV crew, etc, from around the world. I would hate my lif to be like this, but for half an hour it was a laugh. The girls just stood behind us, confused and knowing what *******s we truly are, completely baffled by all the fuss.
As producers, JG and I had a row each and my agent Martin Spencer from CAA, my attorney Harris Miller, my buds Rob Liefeld, Jeph Loeb, Jim McLauchlin and several others were all crammed into beside the ace dudes from Top Cow. Sadly, my special guest Tegs (the brains behind this site) and his partner couldn't make it and we had two empties seats, but. T, I drunk your complimentary champagne and ate all your popcorn. You were missed, my friend. But I hope you see this movie soon because it was bloody amazing.
As you know, the super-villains become super-powered assassins where the backstory gets eliminated in favour of Timur's idea about the looms of fate. As producers on the flick, JG and I could have walked away but it really works and I think the changes in the second half make the story so much tighter, especially for a mainstream audience. It LOOKS like 50 guys spent 3 years talking about this and fine-tuning it into something special. The first half is identitcal to the book (and you'll have fun spotting the frames lifted straight from JG's art), but the changes made to the second half are great and I wish to **** I'd thought of having the reveal about the Dad (and Wesley being the only guy who could kill him) shifted into the middle like they did because it worked so much better as the ending of the second act. This meant they got 100% action when Wesley raided The Fraternity HQ in the third act whereas we had all the chat to explain everything. Also, wesley's raid on the baddies makes the 10 pages of slow mo madness in the comic look like Sesame Street. James killing all the super-assassins at the end is pretty much my favourite movie moment ever. He and I were acting it out drunk at 1am last night. though fire-arms were sadly unavailable.
Also, fans of the ****ing up the ass ending will have a little smile. I won't spoil it but the fact they even came close to this made me laugh.
As we were leaving the cinema and heading for the party, uber producer Marc Platt slung an arm around me and asked what ideas I had for the sequel. I told him no comic was ever, ever planned and he just smiled, saying he wanted this to be a movie franchise that would run and run. After last night, I hope he's right. You are going to ****ing LOVE this.

Well, Variety and Hollywood Reporter said good things about the flick. I doubt may critics will disagree.most movies usually are before they come out...
I'd just like everyone to keep in mind, that Mirko loved Undercover Brother.
And? That's a great freakin' movie!!
