The movie still would have sucked, but if they had kept the subplot in, at least it would have made more sense.
It's funny that Singer thought people were confused because of the subplot, and ended up making it a garbled mess without it. With it still in, it might have just been a regular mess. Aim high next time Bryan, just make a boring film instead of a boring film that makes no sense.

i dont think so theres many scenes that could have helped this film.... heres the ones that would have cut major time and helped the move with addtional scenes....
remove the folowing:
1. Jason as Supermans kid
2. Vanderbilt beginning scene
3. The elevtor scene / lois talking to clark outside the DP
4. Corn field running
5. Nurse finding him gone
6. taking kryptonite scene
7. lex talking to jor el( have lex swipes the crystals and leave)
Add in the movie:
1. All deleted scenes
2. Kal Penns dialoge
3. Superman leaving could have been done in the credits in stead of flying in space with planets
4. RTK should have been the very beginning
that would have helped the movie 150% and would have recieved alot better reviews from people

its actually kinda odd to hear Stanford speak , yeah in the screen play it works a lot better that Stanford worked with lex and planted the information about Kyrpton , and that would have been shown in the Daily Planet headlines that occurred in the orginal titles .
So maybe less giant rock island lifting and more Stanford scenes could be added in a new dvd version
along with the first version of the opening titles and the '' return to kyrpton sequence '' . I'd buy it .

Because it'd be hard to believe if Krypton is further out than 25 Light Years especially if it's in another galaxy (it would still appear to be before its destruction so they couldn't tell if it exists or not).
