Usually its the Catholics who tend to have a much more restricted reading list, lol. Like if you read anything that isn't canon you'll burst into flames or something. I have read the Apocrypha myself and don't see what's so threatening about it.

I have heard about it, but havent read it. My dad actually had nothing to say on the Apocrypha, it was my mom who showed any interest in it. even had me write it down for her to look up. Where was it you read it?
(I know this reply is a bit late, but anyhow..) I read a lot of Christianity books. I figured if I was going to convert, I might as well get to know the subject as well as I could. Many books I read kept quoting from the various Apocrypha books so I thought I might as well pick up a collection. Lucky me, Barnes and Noble had one for a whopping $5. :p It mighta been better if there had been some commentary to go with it, seeing as how many of the books had to do with end times predictions and all that, but the collection I had was just the texts themselves. I don't buy into the rapture much and all that end times discusssion, I just try to be as good as I can day by day and take things that way. I can't waste time on a future that I can't control so I work with what I can as much as I can. :)

You went with the "Heart Spidey Shirt" :woot:

That's awesome Harls!!! Fantastic Job!

Thanks! & Yeah, that one turned out to work the best :) Though I can't figure out how to stretch the logo over her chest... oh well, I'll figure it out eventually.

I'll have to check the local bookstore then.

And thats a good philosophy imo. take it day by day, because if the End is predetermined, then what ya gonna do bout it?

Exactly. I think God sees us if we at least try, you know? No one is perfect, least of all me. :p It also helps to be as informed as possible, that way you can better decide things for yourself instead of only getting things from just one side. :)

Henchy, I don't often cook chicken but can't you put it in hot water for faster defrosting? :(

no, hot water will cook it, you can put it in room temp water though

Lix has it right. Basically what I did was nuke it in the micro at 5 second increments. It worked out perfectly, and I have no idea what I made but it was delicious!

Oh ****, that reminds me!

Cooking tonight, Lunar?

proposed ban on circumcision in san fransisco, yay or nay?

I'm going to have to say nay. The government should not be telling parents if they can circumcize their children or not.

You, then, know the key to my heart.

I made lightly breaded chicken, cooked it in a pan with some onions and garlic, then added red wine and let it reduce before putting it on top of some pasta. So great.

Not tonight, but tomorrow evening. Chicken and pepper sauce. I'm not a huge chicken fan, unless something is added to it. Which reminds me, I want some KFC soon, hadn't had any in months!

Have fun with that! Sounds good. I dont like KFC very much, but their BBQ sauce is to die for.

You already had my heart, but... now let's just call this insurance. :o

First, you made a halloween themed cake that looked great! Then, you talk about making something like this? I am definitely going to get into my car and head out on a road trip in your direction Henchy.

quick tip for breaded chicken, replace eggs and bread crumbs with buttermilk and cornmeal for fewer calories and great taste.

that sounds fantastic though
