Yeah, well, that's only 3 episodes less than most network shows get when they premiere. Usually you have 9 episodes to prove yourself shot, then it just goes from there.

Cable network (AMC, HBO, FX, etc) shows usually have 12 or 13 episode seasons.

Season 2 is 13 episodes.

If you take out the commercials, they're about 45 minutes each. Such is the case with shows such as Twin Peaks and Xena.
