If you take out the commercials, they're about 45 minutes each. Such is the case with shows such as Twin Peaks and Xena.

I've been transferring a lot of shows I taped over the years to DVD and cutting out the commercials. It's interesting to watch how shows keep getting shorter and shorter because of the networks adding commercials.

Shows from the 50's and early 60's would run around 50 to 55 minutes per hour episode. The last few years it has been 43 to 45 minutes per hour. Some shows this year I have noticed are down to 40-41 minutes per hour.

Im watching a show on PBS about Wolverines...fascinating little buggers

what are you using to transfer them?

what are you using to transfer them?

Just a standard VHS player connected to a DVD recorder. Some things I watch as I play/record so that I can cut the commercials out....others I record everything to disc to make sure I at least have them (before VHS players go out of existence) and can then cut the commercials out at a later date.

i need to do that. i have some vhs tapes that i'd like to transfer. movies, home movies, events etc

I have tons of random American idol performances stuck in my DVD recorder...

i think i'm gonna start reading Y: The Last Man sometime this week. I just downloaded ComicRack's comic book reader so i can open the files

Spent the day watching Harry Potter movies back to back. :atp:

this is the absolute slowest day at work. and I feel like doing nothing.

it's also Tuesday in my head for some reason

I wish it were Tuesday. I love Tuesdays.

If I somehow managed a transfer at my job, the only place I could afford to live in and tolerate would be Texas.
