Neither can I. I'm too much of a San Francisco Bay person. I don't know if I could take the sudden lack of early morning fog/overcast, humidity, Asians, hippies, or the inability to tell the difference between real racist jokes and inoffensive racial jokes.

Racism is in every state...but people love to make out that some other place is worse than they are....so of course the butt of most of these slurs is the south because thier past racism is constantly talked about. If you actually dug into a history book though...you will see it has been present everywhere against someone....all accross the globe.

I joke about racism in the South, but I've actually encountered some racist stuff in my own backyard. When I was a kid, I almost couldn't go to a friend's birthday party because his parents didn't like black people.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, not the actual city. Nobody lives in the city. They just work there. That's why we have a commuter train system that stretches across several counties so you can get into San Francisco. The Bay Area is one of the top 5 largest markets in the US, but SF has less than one million residents. The weirdos banning pet stores, happy meals, and circumcisions are a strange (and incredible rich) minority.

My dad used to live in Martinez. He was at one time the person with the most senority working at the big Shell refinery there. They used to have big fires there from time to time and a co-worker used to tell about how one time she climbed up on one of the big hills there and just watched it burn.
