We went from Bill Nye and Ken Ham debating about creationism to whether or not SHH has LGBT threads.

I think this is the most derailed thread I've seen so far lol. But I'd rather this then people yelling at one another.

Well the whole midichlorian thing was a goofy idea anyway. The Force worked fine with its hand-waving explanation in the original trilogy and didn't need elaborated on with pseudo-scientific mumbo-jumbo.

Then there was Lucas' over-indulgences, terrible actors, goofy plot ideas, and Lucas not being able to write dialogue or direct actors to save his life.

He was never great, but his flaws are all magnified in the prequels. Probably because he had more direct control over them than he did over The Empire Strikes Back (the best SW movie, and probably not coincidentally, not directed by Lucas).
