Ken Ham vs Bill Nye (Is creation a viable model of origins?)

So yes, if creationism is true, indeed God made brothers and sisters have sex with each other to populate the earth. That God eh? Incest is truly holy!

On multiple occasions in fact.

Bill should walk off the stage now. All he's doing is encouraging this nonsense by arguing with them.

People being put here by a universal spirit > People were giant monkeys

whats the format of this debate? is ken hamm gonna give a big spiel and then bill nye is gonna give a big spiel and thats it? or are they gonna actually debate?

Ok so it all comes down to Jesus and also won't you please think of the children?! Argh... Now some sense with Bill, finally.

I haven't watched it yet (waiting until later), but how on earth did Ken manage work "won't you please think of the children" into this?

He was like think what kind of morality the children will get if they dont base the science on right and wrong from the bible or some **** like that, basically.

I get the sense that Bill can't believe he's having to do this.

And now we're hitting the Human Evolution bit from Bill. :)

Degrass Tyson would have been far more scathing in his reply than what Bill is.

bill has all the facts on his side, and is so obviously right...but i gotta say, ken was more engaging as a speaker. and unfortunately that is going to be what sways a lot of (stupid) people.

I'd love to see Neil have a reply to this though. Maybe they can have a part 2 with Neil instead of Bill.

Some people don't want facts. :(

'You weren't there' is 90% of his rebuttal. Oy.

yeah, thats like the worst argument, and im surprised that bill hasnt turned that on him. he says we dont know the rings on trees equal their age because we didnt see the rings as they form. well, ken, you didnt see noah build his ark. you didnt see him collect animals. you didnt see the flood. but you know it happened because god told people it happened and they wrote it down. well, you didnt hear/see god tell them that, and you didnt see them write it down.

Ken Ham:"Oh yeah yeah, universe is expanding, sure, it's just stretching to heavens, hurm hurm, God is huge he made the stars for his honor and we are really small and God is huge omg it's amazing"

I can't tell if this dude is just trolling now.

Now he has gone down to repeating "the bible says so". That is his argument.

'What would change your mind?' - Answer: Nothing.

Well Ham's beliefs are idiotic.

That's why smart religious people have abandoned silly things like young Earth creationism.
