Interesting concept. I could watch Watanabe in anything and enjoy it, so I'll probably check this out on DVD at some point (he was freaking fantastic in Inception).

Wow, this movie looks gorgeous! I like the time period it's set in. When I read that it was a samurai movie I figured it would take place during medieval times, but 19th century Japan is much more interesting.

Usually the samurai film gets remaked into a western, not the other way around.

Should be interesting at the very least.

Glad it's not just another shot-for-shot remake (Oldboy I'm looking at you).
