Kid Nation....Put It On Your Watch List!

You guys, :o, GREAT job keeping this thread going! I haven't seen last week's ep yet, but I soon will!

Last one I saw was 2 weeks ago, the religion ep, and it was pure GOLD! I loved the comments you guys made. :woot: This show continues to make me glow. :)

Its just a shame about Mike they just wanted something diffrent? Why because they wanted the BBQ? Give me a break Brushing your teeth is more important to the town than a piece of meat. Although Mike wanted the BBQ to so who knows where that would go.

I am so happy Tyler is off the Council because she was really a ***** to the whole town. Hopefully if Yellow gets cooks again maybe Zach will be able to get his distract to actually cook.

I am also glad Greg finally got the Gold Star. He has deserved it the past few episodes and he finally got it.

I agree 100% about Greg he really did deserve it more so for his actions this episode in looking after the younger children like he did as at this point I expect him to be a hard worker as that is who he is.

Sure he's a hard worker: He's also a jerk... I know quite a few people as such...

Regardless... I can't believe how happy I am that Zack won... it makes me breathe a sigh of relief... I think it if the kids actually do well they might become successful.

And Mike was too insecure in the face of Guylan... Anjay was insecure too, but he also was obviously smart... Mike, for all his boyscouting, never really had a chance to shine...

Oh I agree he can be quite the jerk all I was commenting on is he does IMO anyways want the town to work and works hard to make it happen.
I to am happy Zack won that was a huge one to me.
And yeh Mike was really insecure even though I thought he did an ok.
I also do not think Guylan will do a better job than Mike either.

Greg may be a jerk, but the gold star isn't awarded to the nicest person, but it is given to that person the benefitted the town the most.

Finally caught last week's ep just in time for the new one tonight! You're totally right about Mike. While I felt bad b/c he was pretty smart and a decent leader, he really let the council position go to his head the last few weeks. He also has the tendency to communicate in a way that would irritate others, and he looked downright desperate while trying to talk Guylan out of running....But all that, and I still think Mike will be a better leader than Guywho??

It was interesting that Green worked together and didn't challenge their authority, especially since they have the most level-headed people/natural leaders on the show.

The BBQ was a no-brainer, disguised as a tough choice. But I get the pull b/c I have a younger (less manicured) friend who went nuts when they didn't pick the BBQ. :woot:

It was also OBVIOUS that we all wanted to see Taylor go, and that she would be voted off. My jaw hit the ground when she put her slogan, "Deal With It!" on her campaign posters, LMAO! She is SO awful!! I was thinking about her this morning since I watched the show b/f bed last night. And I was thinking about how inflated her beauty pageant ego is, and it donned on me, how much WoRsE is she going to be now that she's had this "TV gig"?! :csad: I mean, can you just see her South Carolina family sitting around the tube laughing at the awful things she says, feeding her pompous insecurity!? :down

Looking forward to tonight! The preview showed Zach threatening to withhold wages for people who don't do their jobs....BRILLIANT! :)

Oh yeh tonight looks great.

Well I hope everyone tuned in to KN last night! Taylor's drama peeked, and even I wasn't expecting it to be nearly as bad as it was?! :wow:

Meanwhile, we got to hear from some kids who haven't had much time in the spotlight yet. Guymen, or whatever his name is, is a so-so leader at best, but I'm REALLY starting to get annoyed by everything that comes out of Mike's mouth so I am EcSTATIC that he is no longer a leader!

The gold star moment was pure suspense...the kind I could see coming a MILE AWAY (nice try, editors), but who knew those kids could get so emotional???

Great show again, proving that TV doesn't have to continue sinking to shock value levels in order to entertain.

This weeks episode was great all around DK deserved the star and I like how they all didn't even think of anyone else for it.
As for the kids crying part thats part of the reason I love this show as on other reality shows the crying is for ratings on this show they are young kids and in a tough situation so to speak and I believe the crying is real and not for ratings like other reality shows.

Yeah DK really did deserve the star. And Prog you aren't the only one thinking about their new publicity, I was thinking about it the other night too, and some of these kids are just going to be absolutely unbearable when the show is over. I totally want to see the future VH1 Special: Behind Kid Nation, 15 years of drugs, alcohol, sex, rehab, and therapy.

Or as it will be called the Taylor story........:o

YES! how long until we get "The Surreal Life: Kid Nation"?!

I just want to see if Sophia turns out to be hot.

I feel bad for Greg, I feel like he's a good kid but the show makes him out to be an antagonist. Am I the only one weirded out by Jarret?

Is that the creepy kid with the glasses and the cowboy hat? Seriously if it that's jarret then yeah I am way weirded out by him too. I mean that kid has some issues for sure.

I think his name is Jarred. And he's one of my favorites! Is he the one spouting off MLK quotes and Shakespeare?

He's a RIOT! :woot:

i think this has got to be one of the few non disney show with some morals... and it's flippin' hilarious at it's parts

I love that kid! He recites Shakespeare and stuff. Hilarious. "To kill or not to kill that is the question" - from the episode where they kill the chicken!

I'm ready for Jarred to move into "gold star position", but I think he's that type of person that isn't motivated by money. He's a thinker, and living in his own world. Which makes him that much more of an oddball, and an AWESOME kid to watch.

I could totally see him living in the woods by himself 20 years from now.

...he was SO disappointed when they chose the toothbrushes/toothpaste! :woot:

Great episode (6)... the garbage theme was a little weak, and the kids are REALLY letting all their rage out on Taylor, now that she's no longer a councilperson...

I kinda seemed like the cameraman/producers told them to let her out, cuz that was about to be a FIGHT!

It also seemed odd that they centered on DK all of a sudden. I was certainly rooting for him from early on, but... if he's so great, how come he was never shown doing anything important, notable or useful from the beginning? I disapprove of such editing.

Greg is officially cool with me now after diving into the pit just for kicks... that's the way it should be... go with the rediculousness...

And I'm getting a common theme with these choices... I think the show has made it's point... obviously, when kids are in REAL situations and not sheltered so hard, they'll pick things that are necessary over what is fun... kids aren't STUPID, just spoiled... so now that we've established that, lets make the choices harder... say... between two necessities or something... that's how we keep decisions difficult.
