And still to come are Soulcalibur and Tekken movies.

I'm...I just...ugh...

You know a movie's in trouble when they don't even have a budget for decent title graphics!

How come most of these directors have trouble turning fighting games into decent movies?

Aside from Maggie Q, :awesome: this movie just reeks of low-budget B-movie fare. She should've just stick to support roles in big-budget movies like Die Hard 4 and Mission: Impossible 3.

Are they actually using a piece of music from Batman Begins? haha.

And yes, what is up with Maggie Q. Seriously, she's the new Lucy Liu: An Asian American actress who has a few hits under her belt and has the chance of making it huge. But no..

Maggie Q should not accept a movie offer just because it puts her name front and center; it won't help her career at all to appear in straight-to-DVD B-movies. It's not like she's so desperate for cash she'd do anything.

exactly, I think she is well enough now that she can pick and choose some quality movies. In fact, it's sad to see her doing this.

As you said, Maggie Q is dangerously becoming another Lucy Liu, which is a shame because Hollywood could really use good Asian actresses. And seriously, what happened to Zhang Ziyi? After Geisha I thought she'd start making Hollywood movies. Looks like all her tutoring on English language for the film has gone to waste.

Lucy Liu sent down hill...for no reason. I can't think why but after Kill Bill, she went poof.

Is it because of being Asian is damn hard in Hollywood? It must be when you're stuck with martial arts films, or being the funny Asian sidekick.

C'mon guys, I think it's a little early to judge just by th-

I'm sorry. I can't do it. That movie looks like terrible pickled ass. :csad:

exactly!!!

I try to be fair in most cases, but when something aint' right, I'm sure it'll suck.

to be fair, it looks better than "Dragonball:Evolution" :o

KoF, FoL (Full of Lame)...this offers nothing that Legend of Chun-Li didn't have to offer and in many instances looks worse.

IMO, it looks better than Chun-Li, but that's not really hard thing to accomplish.

Because the majority of video games, especially fighters, don't have good enough plots to sustain whole movies, and the studios that make the movies put very little effort into their production. It would be perfectly fine if no one ever made a video game movie again.

i know i'm in the minority on this but i might like this movie

Oh my god, this looks absolutely terrible.

Ray Park looks laughably out of place.

The sad thing is, most of these games have better storylines than the movies they base off of them...I mean a decent chunk of the work is done for them if they would just take advantage of it. I still think there can be good movies made off of games, but it really hasn't been done yet, at least not with a vs. fighter.

^ that's like saying Attack of the Clones is better than Phantom Menace :hehe:
