Kurt Busiek Plans Batman-Focused SECRET IDENTITY Sequel

This looks pretty fab I hope its good as the Superman Secret Identity comic book

you know, i've never been able to find the superman one in any store? i've only been able to take it out from the library. :(

I still haven't read Superman: Secret Identity. I should get on that.

WOW, If it's as good as SUPERMAN: Secret Identity then BRING IT ON !!!!

Same writer, same artist, (exact same idea?), sounds AWESOME!
I really cannot wait. Secret Identity was so great.

but... will the story be exactly the same? About a guy name Bruce Wayne, like the comic character, becomes a vigilante in real life like the comic character? Or will they make changes that make it too different?
Bah, Busiek is awesome and I am sure it will be good.

Count me as being on the fence. Superman: Secret Identity was phenomenal, yes, but I'm not sure the same approach, even if changed to match, will fit Batman as well.

I do have at least one more company-icon project, though, in that I'm working on a follow-up to the "Superman: Secret Identity" project I did with Stuart Immonen. It's called "Batman: Creature of the Night", and John Paul Leon is doing the art, and it looks astounding. But like "Secret Identity", it's not set in the "main" DCU -- it's a story that uses the Batman concepts and history to tell a very different kind of story. That's been a project we're working on pretty slowly, so I wouldn't expect to see it hit the shelves anytime soon, but when it comes, it'll be worth it.

me either

i got it from the library once

and got like 3 pages into it

and said 'wat is this, who is this stupid kid' and read something else

I feel like I heard this news like 2 years ago.

Sometimes books take a long time to come out.

Anyone have a feeling this is going to be a smarter version of Kick-Ass? Because I'd be down with that.

so we first heard of this project back in 2010. Busiek said he wouldn't hit shelves anytime soon, and I guess it won't be released this year. But do you think we may get it in 2015?

This is cool. Superman: Secret Identity is my favorite Superman story ever, and if this is even half as good as Superman: Secret Identity it will rock.
