Do you guys think that he will eventually take up the mantle of "Darth" and become a sith lord by this episode,. or do you see him remaining a "Knight of Ren" Throughout the entire trilogy?

If it were me, i would have kylo die and snoke turn rey to the dark side and become a sith.

^ That'd be a twist I could get behind. Though it's kind of prequel trilogy. We've seen the descent, though it wasn't as defined as I'd have liked it to be.

In the TFA book, when Rey had the upper hand in the fight with Kylo, Snoke apparently was Force-chatting with her in her head and saying to kill him. Interesting.

I actually think Kyo will till episode IX become actual good guy and fight on Light side against Rey. It would be poetic giving they were on different sides in episode VII.

This is my prediction. Rey will be the one who will strike and kill Luke, and Rey will become Snoke's apprentice. Kylo will will be the one who brings balance to the Force at the end.

We need to know more of what the Knights of Ren are. TFA didn't do a very good job of setting them up.

No, I don't think he'll be a Sith, nor do I think they will be a huge topic of conversation going forward. Like Stannis said, we need to learn more about the Knights of Ren and what they're about.

Until proven otherwise, I'm assuming the Sith are dead. Pablo Hidalgo has stated Snoke and Kylo are not Sith. They are dark side users, but of a different denomination.

The Sith are gone and dead, and I think it would undermine Vader's sacrifice to bring them back.

He killed his father, slaughtered Jedi and apprentices. Irredeemable.

No, the Sith are gone.

These Dark Siders are a different group.

It might be that there will be no black and white view of the Force. As hinted, Luke has become a Gray Jedi and Kylo seems to be torn between the light and the dark.

This thread may have to be re-titled soon.

now that Kylo is the Supreme Leader!

He's still not a Sith. In fact his whole MO now is to put an end to the Sith and everything else.

Yes but, he did the most sith thing possible. He kill his master and took his place. I know maybe he claims he isnt sith, but his every action for the most part has been Sith.

He is in everything but name. I actually like the idea of not bringing back the Sith so as not to undermine Vader's sacrifice, but they should have come up with villains who are new and distinct. As it is, it still undermines Vader's sacrifice, even if they don't call them Sith.

Maybe without the Sith they don't have to worry about the whole 'rule of two' master/apprentice thing anymore and it will be the Knights of Ren, which will be a group of dark-siders led by Kylo. They could go against Rey and what ever group she forms now with Force-sensitive recruits, since she is not a Jedi Master, maybe the light side group will be different than before?

Thats my point exactly,. if they are different cool, but dont have them act the same and then call them different. I also dont know if i would say it undermines Vaders sacrifice, cause Vader only sacrificed himself to save his son, not to balance the force.

The Knights of Ren should have been introduced in VIII, they were mentioned in VII and never heard from again. I love the idea of them, but i just want to see more.

Just because his name is not Darth Ren doesn't mean he's not a Sith.

Going by Pablo Hidalgo and Lucasfilm Story Group, not a Sith. I defer to them unless they say otherwise.

I think we should be done with the Sith. Not all Dark Jedi must be a Sith.

Let the past die.

In the Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight video game, Jerec and the baddies were just called dark Jedi. Just stick with that. The Sith are technically gone.

The term Dark Jedi is like the term grey Jedi. It's oxymoronic. A darkside user isn't a Jedi. They stop being a Jedi when the fall to the darkside and abandon the ways of the Jedi and the lightside of the Force.

Yeah, but I always figured the Darkside Users were a thing, and the Sith were just one particular group of Dark Froce users. Not the only ones in the history of ever. So for me, they had their time.
