It had very good script and excellent cast.

Again, it was one of the best movies 1997

I like it. But I need to see it again. The three leading actors are great. James Cromwell is badass.

And that final gunfight is amazing. Up there with The Wild Bunch shootout.

AMAZING MOVIE. A classic in every sense of the word and definetly one of the best of the '90s (**** Titanic, this was the best picture of 1997).

I am eagerly anticipating HollywoodLand BTW though.

My first blind buy on DVD back in '99, and in fact one of the first DVDs I ever bought when I got my player. Terrific, underrated little gem. It really wowed me, for lack of a better word. Great acting, direction, music, cinematography, and about everything else.

I agree with the original poster, L.A. Confidential is one of the best films around. One of my favorite films, I just love every aspect of it.
