I don't understand how someone can hurt an animal like that. I also don't understand why some people seem to have a vindictive hatred of cats. They can be really sweet and loyal animals. My own cat that I've had for 4 years was a stray kitten and she's the most loving animal I've ever owned. Follows me around, meets me at the door when I come home, and stays by my side most of the time that I'm home. I couldn't imagine being mean to her or any of the other strays that hang around my house.

Seriously, something has to be broken in a person to allow them to hurt an innocent animal.*

Me neither, on both counts. I mean, my dog and cat do **** that really irritates me sometimes, but I could never just beat them, no matter how pissed off I was. I feel like you've got some parts missing inside if you can do that and not feel like **** about it.

Speaking of cats, some people say cats don't love you like a dog, but I don't agree. Just because they're not desperate for your attention every waking second of every day doesn't mean they're not attached to you. My cat sleeps on my bed on my clothes, and always comes running to the door when he hears my car pull in the driveway. He likes to curl up on my lap purring away and follows me around the house.

Disclaimer: I'm not making light of this situation by making a joke. I'm very glad the cat survived, animals are resilient.

I'm guessing the scum who did this will never be productive members of society and will be dealt with eventually and locked up or humanely executed. A luxury they would have denied their victims.
