Death Proof Director's cut review *SPOILERS*

When is Planet Terror being released? I walked out on this waste halfway through, I felt Planet Terror was worth the ticket price. Death Proof? Bored the living s#!t out of me.

Middle of October. I didn't dislike Death Proof, but I'm much more looking forward to Planet Terror.

I loved Death Proof; it's another Tarantino masterpiece in my eyes. I could see where people didn't like it, but I'm a fan of dialogue-driven films.

I loved DP too, even considering going to see it again. And i only do that for movies i REALLY enjoy.

*faints*

Actually, I can see how someone would find Vanessa Ferlito unattractive. She's not a "polish" pretty girl you'd parade around town as a trophy girlfriend, like Mary Elizabeth or Ms. Poitier. She's more of a "down and dirty" girl you can't wait to take home and f*** her brains out.

Well, IMHO.

She isnt traditionally beautiful, but she just has this look to her were, as you put it, you just want to **** her brains out.

The faces she pulles during the lapdance were fantastic as well.

I'm a chick and I'm not gonna lie, that lapdance was smokin' :wow: And yeah, I saw that on big screen. (you just gotta love Europe)

Definitely am going to get myself that DVD.

I thought the movie was okay, it dragged way too much at times. The acting was better in the first half, alot of the dialogue was interesting but it all just goes on too long. The car chase was awsome and fun and I laughed my ass off when KR screamed like a girl at the end. i didn't think that Zoe Bell was as bad as people would have you believe but she still aint gonna be winning any awards anytime soon. Too sum it all up I liked it well enough but it's the weakest QT movie I've seen.

Who was saying Zoe Bell was bad? I thought her acting was a bit stiff, but she was very likeable and very very convincing physically. I don't see how she stayed on the hood of the Vanishing Point car at the end.

At times her acting was off so to speak. Like I said in an earlier post I will let her acting slide as I believe this was her first actuall acting gig. I wonder if they used some type of 'hooks/cables' around her waist that when in the hood to help hold her on,and yet let her get draged around?

Or maybe Zoe is a f***ing badass.

She's a stunt actress in a tribute movie to ****ty films, I really don't think her acting ability was a priority at any point in the making of the film.

Awesome!

I dont think they did have cables on her, it seems this movie was made in the old style and from the making of's I have seen she didnt have cable's on her during the stunt.

But it might've been for the best since the actress herself still looks like Chyna's ugly stepsister.
I agree on that she was much prettier as Mary Jane's friend in Spider-Man 2.

Dr. Manhatten said:
A lot of close ups on Zoe Bell in the car (during their first conversation in the car) showcasing her horrible facial expressions and attempt at being funny and endearing.
LOL!! I know she wasn't much to look at but the way you described her left me in stitches.

I stopped reading once you said the lapdance scene was horrible and called Vanessa Ferlito ugly as Chyna. Then I skipped down to the bottom, saw the rating you gave it, and jumped for joy thanking the lord that I didn't read the rest of that tripe you wrote.

Quentin Tarantino really does love to put ugly women in his movies.
I have a question for you folks. why is it such a crime to say that you have liked Quentin Tarantino's films in the past, but you really didn't enjoy this one?
Personally I have never been a big fan so it was no shock to me that I didn't like this movie.

I thought the blond was pretty attractive, but yeah, it adds a certain weird cult flair and charm when you use very "meh" women as sex objects.

The blond girl is Cheryl Ladd's daughter from 70's Charlie's Angels fame.

I am not a QT fanboy in the slightest, I like his movies, but i dont give them the praise others do because frankly i don think they deserve it!

But i thought DP was great, I REALLY enjoyed it and it was a refreshing change from other summer fare IMO.

I wondered who she was!

I didnt love this movie but i didnt hate it either i thought it was a little funny at some times and i liked that Kurt Russel was bad ass, most of the movie. I hated that Kurt's character lost his badass just when he got hurt and i hated the ending. When i saw it i was like WTF? i wanted him to kill them not the other way around, in my personnal opinion Kurt Russel was the good guy not them, but im still going to buy the movie.

I love QT of the 90s, he was the best then. I personally didn't like Kill Bill that much. As for DP, I thought the first part was great but the second half was bad. I haven't gotten the DVD but I am going to get it later this month.

I never saw the theatrical version of Death Proof but the director's cut was way too long. Tarantino spent half an hour too long building the first group of girls up just to kill them. It was completely unnecessary. Thirty minutes would have more than sufficed!!!

to me Deathproof was the biggest pile of crap ever put on celluloid, I can't believe that the same person responsible for the genius that Kill Bill vol1 was made this crap.

I didnt think the movie dragged that much to be honest, but i would have liked a few dialogue scene's to be cut down.
