Oh my it's like someone is hiding something.
You mean you think Zuckerberg and Facebook might not have been completely transparent with people?

I'm sure no evidence of any wrongdoing will be found after this. You mean you think Zuckerberg and Facebook might not have been completely transparent with people?
Actually I believe that's exactly what would happen leading to the site shutting down due to too much traffic like the Hype.Just saying but now Twitter is acting squirrelly.
Tweets not loading up.
Would a mass migration of people to Twitter when other apps are down likely lead to a sudden slow down?
Not saying that's what caused it, but it's entirely possible. On my network, we set up 3 redundant circuits in case one goes down. The 2 active do what's called load balancing. If one goes down, traffic fails over to the 3rd circuit to minimize latency. Different vendors with different paths are used so a fiber cut, network failure, etc. are unlikely to affect 2 at one time.Actually I believe that's exactly what would happen leading to the site shutting down due to too much traffic like the Hype.
The Trumpanzees are claiming this is the beginning of "The Ten Days Of Darkness" which honestly sounds like the title of an episode of the 80's G.I. JOE/Transformers toons. We've seen examples of this sort of thing happening when something new becomes available online. Avengers tickets, I think there was a D+ issue, etc.
This isn't entirely true. I ran a traceroute to the FB IP address (69.63.176.13) and got the following:
Traceroute has started…

So, you can see that the traceroute died at 31.13.25.207 after 10 hops (router points). This IP belongs to facebook, so I suspect that someone internal to FB made some deletions to the routing table (there are other explanations however). This could have been a disgruntled network engineer OR it could have been done for any number of reasons. Whoever did it, better have had an alternate way of getting in there without their credentials or have stolen someone else's because, if they didn't, they will get caught.

My external dialogue:
"Hmm... Yes... Of course."
My internal dialogue:
"I know nothing about this. InCali may well have just said Blah-Blah-Blah it was a magic elf that did this."
I'm not... Smart at this stuff.
Computer says no.....

The How's or Why's don't matter. Take your laptop/desktop/phone/tablet/whatever and smash it with a brick. Then meet me at the base of Niagara Falls in two days. By then things like "borders" and "civilization" will no longer exist. And we can go bowling.
This is a trick to get me to play hockey.
You can't join my post-apocalyptic gang without at least mastering the fundamentals.

Working again now right?
Hmm... Good point.
There is strength in numbers.
What if I just watched SLAPSHOT, THE GOON and SUDDEN DEATH with JCVD?
That's gotta count, right?
Your side is better. I will set up the pins since the electricity will be out. I will cheat for gold coins. The How's or Why's don't matter.
