@KRYPTON INC. @flickchick85 @Reek @InCali

It took 23 days, but I've finally finished all 32 movies.

Congratulations, Flick. I'm sure you're very proud.

I would say there wasn't a genuinely bad movie in the list, and I had a good time with all of them. Fargo is my standout favourite, though Princess Bride, Unforgiven and Beetlejuice are right up there. Here are my musings on the last 8 movies I watched:

Unforgiven: Little Bill probably should have given that speech about cool heads beating quick draws to his men at some point, but he was too busy building that house.

The Lost Boys: Dracula was on the previous list, which I liked a lot, but I gotta say that I prefer the young and sexy vampires with the *****in' soundtrack.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves: Alan Rickman behaving like a madman with the orchestral version of a Bryan Adams song as a backdrop is everything I could ask for in a movie.

After Hours: I'm just going to assume that New York is like this all the time, and that's the reason for why they invented the MetroCard.

Bull Durham: Crash accuses Annie of not having a job while he's out here on a Single-A contract probably making $53 a week and spending it all on the **** he breaks in bars.

Beetlejuice: It's like if Bugs Bunny was created by an insane person who's going through a goth phase (all of which is my jam).

Leon: The Professional: Wikipedia says that Gary Oldman improvised many of his lines, which makes me terribly uneasy, since he plays the drug-addled psychopath a little too well.

Something Wild: Never trust a bob cut.

I'm finally free. Except now I have to catch up on all the shows I fell behind on while watching these, and then of course Dune just came out, and oh my God it never ends.

I am a bit of a Clint buff and yet... I'll be honest, I know Unforgiven is a great movie, and I'll tell anyone to watch it. And I "get it", I know what the film is going for. Clint and the cast are all amazing, and what a cast... But I can't get as worked up about it as others for some reason. Some amazing scenes and Clint's directorial powers were at their most mature and assured here. It is worth a watch if for nothing else than completing Clint's filmography which is definitely time well spent.

Lost Boys is like Ghostbusters for Vamps. And it's almost as satisfying a popcorn affair as GB. Honestly... Where was THIS Shumacher during his Batman run? A great double header would be LB and Fright Night from 1985. Happy you like this one, it's wonderful fun, stylish (for the time) a little sexy, a little campy and it just looks great.

Robin Hood... I don't like that movie. That's all.

I... I actually can't recall if I've ever seen After Hours now. One for the list.

I despise Susan Sarandon as a person these days... But my god her character in Bull Durham, is... (shivers) and on top of it you got this wonderfully human, real comedy that covers so much. As a non sports fan this must be one of the greatest sports based movies of all time. The script still holds up I think.

Beetlejuice is just fun, fun, fun and I kinda wish we'd gotten the more manic Burton over the years.

The Professional is just stylish Euro-Trash in all the best ways and actually does make you feel for the characters in a real way despite all the over the topness. I actually wouldn't mind catching up with Portman's character in a sequel of some kind.

Something Wild is part of that "buttoned down dude has life thrown upside down by quirky sex pot who sets him on a journey away from his everyday life" genre that was pretty popular in the 1980's and I can't say I remember much from my only viewing.

So happy you enjoyed them all to one degree or another.

Anytime you want to fill out another list let us know.

@KRYPTON INC. For me, the greatest sports movie is HOOSIERS.

Plus, I too am a big Eastwood fan....but I am not a big fan of THE UNFORGIVEN.

@C. Lee

I've met old man Eastwood loooong ago. He owns a small cottage type hotel in central california. He signed my Dollar trilogy box set, and he was pretty damn nice and all. I regret not asking him about Leone.

I was also never that high on Unforgiven. Eh.

Maybe this is the greatest sports movie ever made?

I think next time I'm just going to ask for everyone's favourite movies. With people mentioning Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction and the like, I realized that I just haven't watched a lot of movies period, regardless of when they came out. I've seen the major blockbusters, or the movies that specifically interested me, but there are a lot of gaps. So next time I'm going just going to say "show me what you got". It could have come out last year, I don't care. For example, everyone loves Knives Out. Never seen it. Know about it, heard about it, never seen it. I am broken.

i need more enthusiasm ... this is big. monumental. HUGE.. YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE

So Thursday evening Ohio had 8 tornadoes, most were F1 or lower

I've just finished a whole weekend working on a server migration for a client which has resulted in them going from a physical Windows Server 2008R2 box to a new and shiny Windows Server 2019 VM hosted by yours truly...

I am ready for a large gin and tonic!

Slept 20 hours yesterday after my second shot and now I’m awake and feeling lazy as heck. So I’m going to sit around and watch the Ravens play

Feeling like that gator? :cwink:
