She spoke about Wolverine, Magneto, and any future X-Men movies. Here's the Wolverine info - looks like she and Hugh have different timetables LOL.

IESB: What is the story on Wolverine and Magneto?

LSD: Well, we're going to do Wolverine, I hope in the fall and we're out to a director now, we have a good script and I think we're going to do Young Magneto, we have a really great script, we have a director that is interested and he'll do a rewrite on the script. It's young Magneto and it's a young Xavier. Not "kid young," but when Magneto got through the Holocaust and when he, Erik Lehnsherr, became "Magneto."

IESB: What about Bryan Singer as the director for Wolverine? We talked to Hugh Jackman a few days ago and he said he was at the top of a very short list.

LSD: I would love it. We would love nothing more than to have Bryan do Wolverine, but Bryan is developing the sequel to Superman so I don't know, it depends on scheduling, but nothing would please us all more.

IESB: Hugh said he would like to have four months to get into shape for the role and he was thinking January or February of 08...

LSD: Yes, he's thinking that, we are thinking Fall. Sorry Hugh! [laughing]

"Yes, I know, he is thinking that, we're thinking Fall. Sorry Hugh! [Laughter]"

I guess it all depends when Hugh finishes the Lurhmann movie - which I think is sheduled to end in August. But Hugh has said he's left room for it in September because I think Lurhmann has a reputation for running over on movie!

BUT - Fox is the studio doing the Luhrmann movie besides Wolverine, so they will know what's going on.

I´m looking forward to this. If you have doubts on Beniof cuz of Troy, see his work on The 25th Hour. Probably the best Spike Lee movie.

Yea I prefer alot of action rather than a SLOW, sentimental movie. Not saying his X-Men wasnt good cuz they were. Its just that when I watch them, sometimes I get tempted to hit the "skip button"

I'm just trying to get things straight.

On 11/12 November (The Fountain press day), Hugh was saying it would probably start shooting in early 2008. He was due to finish on the Luhrmann film in August but was allowing September in case it overran.

Today, 21 November, he's saying they will start shooting in 8-9 months. That would be July/August but my guess is he means September.

So Hugh has changed his position quite drastically over the last ten days and he's no longer contradicting LSD.

Does the earlier date have anything to do with director availability? Is it early enough for Bryan Singer?

I read here:

That Singer's prep on Superman starts "September/fall 2007." The Luhrmann film finishes filming in August or September. IMO unless the prep on Superman gets postponed, there's no way Singer can direct "Wolverine" if this timetable still holds.
