So what do posters thing about Matthew Vaughn's Layer Cake with Daniel Craig?

Anyone have news on the sequel J.J. Connelly is writing?

It's a very good film with a more original story than most and has some great British talent, its great as long as you can stand the very strong language. Probably Craig's best performance apart from Casino Royale. And man I want one of those Bright Yellow Landrovers.

Great film. Convinced me that Daniel Craig could handle the role of Bond with ease, not that i doubted him anyway.

I got the DVD from my friend about 2 weeks ago and haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

I couldn't understand what the heck was going on. Their accents went in one ear...out the other. Seriously. The trailer is good...movie...I'll watch it again one day (got it as a b-day gift...should have rented first). Does have a lot of extras on the dvd though.

im not even sure i have finished this. some kid stole it from best buy and gave it to me as payment for something. ive fallen asleep like 5 times trying to watch it.

It's a well put together little film, but it failed to engage me on any level whatsoever.

Same. I checked this out soon after Craig was announced to be Bond #6. It put to rest any concerns I had.

I enjoyed it... it's a good quality flick.

This is a great flick, definitely one of Craig's best performances.

excellent british film, bested only by sexy beast in my personal british gangster films :woot: ben kingsley is a god.

It's a great flick, I've seen it about 7-8 times. The 3rd time I finally got every aspect of the layered plot.

Daniel Craig and Michael Gambon rock.

Americans don't get the british humour or understand some of the accents, which is a shame because its an excellent film in every way. The duke is hilarious and Morty is a nutter haha! That cafe scene was just brutal. And that guy, I think his name was shanks, the one who was telling xxx and morty about what the duke had been upto, his hand movements when describing things while sucking on a lollypop was classic. I couldn't stop laughing.

If you haven't seen this flick, go see it now!

I really enjoyed Layer Cake, i though it had a great mix of tension and humour.

I rented it upon learning Craig was cast at Bond. I think its a great movie and definitely worth a few viewings in order to understand it all.

its a great movie, but yeah i have to agree with others you have to watch it several times to truely understand what it is all about. sequel book i have heard nothing of that yet.

I love the movie. I rewatched it once Craig was cast as Bond and knew he was a great choice.

I didn't know there was talks of a sequel though....

Layer Cake was a great film. Full of twists and turns that i honestly did not see coming. I thought Daniel Craig was better in this then in Casino Royale and the short time that Sienna Miller had in the film was very enjoyable. The soundtrack was also very good and i like how Daniel Craigs character was never named

lol. I needed to watch the movie in subtitles in order to get everything because the first time I watched it, I barely could understand with all of the heavy British accents and lingo.

I know I watched it, but I don't remember much of it. That was my impression, it was fairly unmemorable.
