Legendary Teams with Dwayne Johnson on Skyscraper Movie

Full trailer. Looks kinda lame.

Damn, I was excited for this but the trailer was totally generic. :( :( Plus what's up with the Football World Cup shaped building?? It's ridiculous.

Exactly what it sounded like, basically. 2018 PG-13 Die Hard.

It looks fine, no worse than every other modern action flick really. It'll be bland as hell though.

And man I'm getting sick of that glossy sheen everything has in movies nowadays. There's no dirt or real-world weight to anything, even the practical sets basically look like the inside of an Apple store or whatever, it's not even the greenscreen/CG overload itself anymore.

Still looking forward to both films.
Double helping of The Rock this year.
Rampage, too.

I like Johnson. And no one is expecting groundbreaking cinema here. But he’s playing the same character as he did in San Andreas isn’t he? Except this one has a fake leg?

I think it looks like fun, a high-tech Die Hard homage. :D

This actually doesn't look that bad to me either. I know its a Die Hard ripoff, but I honestly think The Rock is perfectly suited for a film like this. The fact that his character is handicapped could be interesting aswell depending on how they utilize it, and its just nice seeing Neve Campbell on the big screen again.

The prosthetic leg thing just came off really forced to me anyway. Like playing up the "everyman" thing with Willis, how he could get injured, the glass to the feet and stuff, only "this time it's taken further!"

Not a big deal, and it's cool to see someone dealing with such things in an action movie for a change. I dunno, it just came off a little cynical or something.

You know he's gonna lose the leg at some point during the final climax.

Thought it looked a bit OTT to be honest, watched trailer with my wife and when he does that jump from the crane at the end she laughed out loud. And not in a good way.

Yeah. I have a hard time criticisizing it too much for that jump thing at the end though, it's not like it's any worse than what plenty of other blockbusters do now. Like, every Fast & The Furious movie. :oldrazz:

But yeah, definitely the usual spectacle-for-spectacle's-sake bull****.

Because it looks horrible thats why. If it bombs then the chance of more movies like this being made are slim.

Any other questions? :whatever:

I wonder what happens to The Rocks new leg when he completes that jump.

That scene should end the way a very similar scene with Dwayne and Samuel L. Jackson ended in "The Other Guys."

This actually looks good. It seems to have a nice, emotional core to it.
