Leonardo DiCaprio May Star in Blood On the Snow

Warner Bros. is closing a deal for Blood On the Snow, the first of a two-book series by Jo Nesbo (The Snowman). The feature project will be developed as a starring vehicle for Leonardo DiCaprio.

Written under the pen name "Tom Johansson," the story is about a hit man who is asked by his boss to kill the boss's wife. However, the man soon falls in love with the wife, and complications ensue. The first novel is set to debut this spring, with the sequel novel, More Blood On the Water, due out the following year.

According to Deadline, DiCaprio will produce with his Appian Way partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran, along with Langley Park's Kevin McCormick.

If I'm not mistaken Nesbo's "The Snowman" is on Scorsese's "To do" list. T wonder if this book is also set in his native land and if the film subsequently will be.

I love Jo Nesbo's work and I have to pick this one up.
