Leslie Mann and John Cena are "Blockers"

That actually sounds like a great idea for a comedy.

John Cena has a gift for comedy, this should be interesting.

I hate John Cena, but the dude was hilarious in Trainwreck. I can't write him off for comedy now.

So much for not running off to Hollywood. :funny:

Now called Blockers, and actually got decent scores on RT.

Was fairly predictable and pedestrian. If you like Neighbors though you might like this one.

I really liked this movie! Had me laughing so hard at certain moments, I started coughing!

I thought it was pretty good with a couple of truly hilarious moments, but not destined to be a classic.
I couldn't get over how much the actress that played Sam looked like she could be Kat Denning's little sister.

Part of me wants to see this now, but I feel like I can wait until it's on TV.

Debating whether or not to see this or Beirut this week

This was a fun movie. It was like Trainwreck, but better since Cena had a lot more screen time. He's great with his timing, improvising, and facial expressions.

I know that's him in real life, but it was weird seeing him cuss like a sailor since I'm so used to his squeaky clean image.

I also marked out for hearing Ricky Steamboat's theme.

I just saw Blockers and I loved it. John Cena and Ike Barinholtz were great.

Cena has great comic timing. I heard good things about him in Trainwreck but I haven't seen that movie so I was genuinely surprised to see how good he was in here.

But the real stars of the show were the girls. Geraldine was awesome and Kathryn was excellent as well and both of them are cute as hell.

On a side note, I liked Blockers more than Game Night. Game Night was very good too but I don't think it has a lot re-watch value for me while I'll definitely see Blockers again someday.

He can't fake cry for **** though! :oldrazz:

I still cannot believe how much of Gary Cole I've seen.

Just saw it for the first time.
I get what they were trying to accomplish, which is a modern, R-rated comedy with the sweetness of John Hughes' movies, and the cast was great and made the movie fun (and worth watching at least once)... BUT, it could have and should have been FUNNIER, and more inventive with its gags. Which is a shame, as it had much more potential and a GREAT cast.
On a side note, I wouldn't have complained if the direction and photography had been more cinematic, either.
