After reading through this thread, I realised that I joined the Hype way too late.

I remember a very lulzy multi-page, public meltdown from the Relationship thread that involved a poster who had made some semi-famous youtube vids, but I can't get more specific than that because the mods actually had to intervene and warn against anyone continuing it after it had gone on for about 15 pages or so.

What were examples that got them banned?

As someone who is forever banned from discussing Avatar, it pretty much went like this-

Pre Avatar- Son of Krypton, and dark b would say something that was pretty silly, some arguments would occur, and that's it.

Post Avatar- Everyone went ****ing CRAZY. Calling it the greatest film in the history of film, which was a bit off putting to some people (me), which caused them to attack those people, which caused those people to attack those people, and then we'd both end up in a fanical war that ment nothing.

Hence why I do not like Avatar fans.

I remember one Avatar fan on another forum, looking like he was going to cry when Avatar didn't win best pic.

I hate obsessive fans too, but I also hate anti-fans who claim to hate something and yet cannot stay out of arguments about it. They see it as their duty to ***** about something.
