Right - their teleporting abilities vary.

Nightcrawler is short-range, while the 'Jumper' can literally go a lot further than that. The title is even suggestive of that.

Honestly, and in addition to accusations of a 'Sliders rip-off', some people don't learn how to read.

Interesting film, if done right and if in the appropriate style. It has potential.

What was the other film that Bilson did?

She was in The Last Kiss with Zach Braff.

Crew Member Killed on Jumper Set
Source: Variety
January 26, 2007

One crew member was killed Thursday on the Toronto set of the 20th Century Fox sci-fi thriller Jumper after being struck by frozen debris in a freak accident, reports Variety.

Set dresser David Ritchie, who was 56, was pronounced dead on the scene after a large piece of frozen sand and gravel fell from the top of a wall at an outdoor set that he and three crew members were dismantling in frigid winter temperatures.

Another crew member was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and kept overnight for observation.

Filming on Jumper, starring Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson, wrapped in Toronto on Jan. 19. Cast and other crew members are on location in Tokyo.

terrific way to start the project... looks like this will be categorically ****ed

Rest in Peace to the set dresser who put his life on the line for this project

the movie sounds cool... especially with liman & jackson involved...

but i hate hayden as an actor :(

Directed by Liman, starring Mace Windu, Anakin, and a random hot chick. Sounds good to me. I just think it would be cooler if it took place in the future, which is what I originally thought.

Jumper Trailer Drops Wednesday
See Samuel L. Jackson and Hayden Christensen in Doug Liman's next movie.
by IGN Staff

US, October 8, 2007 - We like sci-fi just as much as the next guy so we've got to admit we're pretty excited about checking out the new trailer for Doug Liman's Jumper, which drops here on Wednesday, October 10. Based on the book by Stephen Gould, the film is the first in a trilogy.

The official website (which you should probably visit and explore around on) spells it out nicely: "For almost as long as there have been "Jumpers" there have been those that hunt them. These people are called Paladins -- an ancient sect that has long recognized the threat that Jumpers pose to the world, the Paladins have evolved into an elite organization of warrior-like individuals who find and kill Jumpers around the globe.

Over the years, the Paladins have cultivated a special skill -- the ability to sense when a Jumper is about to Jump in the vicinity. This heightened awareness gives the Paladins a much needed tool to use when battling the Jumpers. Today, Paladins are so good at killing Jumpers that few make it to adulthood. When Jumpers start Jumping around age 5, their youth and inexperience makes it easy for Paladins to track them."

We're there.

Trailer on October 10, 2007. Here.

About time...hope it's good.

WOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

amaziiiiiiiinggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MUST SEE!!!!!!!

Jumper - it's not just Australian for sweater anymore! I'm Samuel Jackson - there are going to be consequences! You cut off my hand, I'll come back and taser you bro! It's Next without Julian Moore (YAY!) It's the Teseract with a budget!! It's Dreamscape with CGI!!! Looks like silly fun, February release? That's odd.

That looked pretty good! It's on my list of films to see in theaters for the first quarter of 08.

Looked very impressive and promiseful, hope it will be at least as great as the trailer. And I don't care that even such guy as Christensen is in it, cause everyone deserves a second chance to change something.
