Lions for Lambs

Looks really great. I mean, Redford, Streep and Cruise together? Hell, I'm watching this movie.

Good Trailer, with the actors in this (Redford, Streep, Cruise), this is a can't miss movie, looks really good and I can't wait to see it.

I have very little interest in this movie outside of the fact we get to see the big three act together...But it just seems like your processed academy awards movie to me...the script maybe good but I mean come on any words are gunna sound golden with tom cruise saying them...so this turns out to be the kind of movie i am most against, just processing a movie so glossy that it has to be up for the awards..

however elizabeth the golden age gives me hope that critics are coming to their senses and not just bending over for these processed for the academy type movies, and giving the love to movies much more deservent like gone baby gone

Has anyone seen this movie yet? A lot of mixed reviews..

I might see it tomorrow at work..

just saw it, loved it, i actually like it more than American Gangster. Good direction and a great script make it easy for the actors. Pena and Luke IMO steal the show from the three main actors.

Critics typically and right now have been against every movie involving politics. :cwink:

Same thing in all reviews "too political" and "politics"- little to no note on the film itself which was made to be a politics film.

heh, I guess so...:woot:

Rendition, The Kingdom and even The Brave One all suffered the same fate.

oh, BTW, they showed the trailer for Valkyrie in front of this

Kinda makes me wonder how they will respond to Charlie Wilson.

The same most likely, the statement has been made loud and clear this year "Do not stand on either side of the political line", b/c if you do the reviewer won't review the movie, he'll simply judge it on where he stands politically in relation to the film. It's notable that the UK reviews for Lions for Lambs are very strong.

yeah, surprised me that it only got a 26 in RT but all the reviews i've read so far have been good or great.

I heard this movie was garbage and that Cruise was the film's saving grace...

just got back. liked it alot. especially the college scenes, reminds me of the conversations I have with my professors. Also, it was really a great question and advice- are you going to sit back and do nothing or are you going to stand up, grab the bull by the horns and control your own life and use the potential you've been given. Great advice for any college student and the way he delivered that message was phenomenal and impactful.

So, yeah, I know it was a politics movie- but that's actually what I personally got out of it. Knowing what kind of student and man I want to work to be. The one who grabs life by the horns.
