Yep. His quips can be funny and playful on the surface. But they can also be viewed as a coping mechanism, disappearing into a persona, especially after Gwen's death.

So hard to choose. TASM2 really did a number on every single one of my emotions (including disappointment even though I really liked this movie)

1) Truck chase (felt like quintessential Spider-Man and the best swinging VFX in the series)
2) Manhattan bridge/ "You're my path"
3) Aunt May "You're my boy"
4) Ground rules
5) Final fight against Electro (really felt like a video game!!!!)
6) Sick Spider-Man (I'm spider-bang)
7) Spidey helping out lil Jorge
8) Dane Dehaan chewing scenery when he returns to Oscorp with Electro

Damn I really hate that this movie has given the best interpretation of Spider-Man so far, but didn't quite achieve "greatness." It's like a soup that has all the right ingredients but a weird aftertaste that you can't quite place.

I think my favorite has to be the opening with Spidey (Not the needless parents prologue).That to me just summed up Spider-Man.I sat there with the biggest &%#& grin the whole time.That's what I've been wanting to see.That's the way you open a Spidey movie.

I'm as true blue a Raimi-Spidey fan as you'll find.(I think everyone knows that.t But take Spider-Man 2,for example.The opening was sooo underwhelming to me.I'm sitting there,waiting for the first Spidey action in two years and-There's Spidey!........delivering a pizza.

15 minutes later,a bank is robbed!Oh goody! Time for Spidey action!....and he webs both guys in 10 seconds.

Even my 25 year old self found that underwhelming.The opening for this movie,though made me feel giddy as an 8 year old watching Spidey on the big screen.The Spidey of my childhood got spotlighted for a few minutes.No unmasking.No Big Baddie as the villain with the world at stake.Just the Webhead,cracking wise and doing his thing.So whatever shortcomings the film had (and major disappointments of the first film) were for the most part,forgiven.

I was seriously grinning from ear to ear while watching the opening Spider-Man sequence. I loved his opening lines "Ok, New York. What've got for me today? *radio report of stolen truck* "Alright. Let's get to work."

Then his knock on the window of the truck. It was all so good. Absolutely nailed the persona of Spider-man in just those opening few minutes. It was the right move to open the film on that high note...something I think most fans, myself included, were hoping to see. Spider-man just being Spider-man and taking down some low level thugs...just another busy morning.

I think the way he talked to the kid, the tone of his voice just sold how still hurt he was. It's not like he was going to talk to the kid all enthusiastic like in the wind turbine scene haha.

I watched it again for the last time in IMAX 3D last night and as short as the Rhino scene is, I love it. His look really grew on me.

hard to say... loved most of this film. Really liked how Menken and Harry played off of each other, it feels so satisfying when Harry storms into Oscorp with Electro

then also the last fight with Goblin/Gwen's death, even though it was a pretty short scene it had 100% nail biting- edge of your seat hanging- heart pounding suspense

the new yorkers, near a giant mech gathered to see what´s happening instead of running away, any kid would be that stupid to face a giant mech, when spidey was talking to the kid he could´ve just shot them both and didn´t, remember the sniper from Times Square they could´ve just have a sniper and shot Rhino when he had his face uncovered...

Well, I loved the scene because it was incredibly sad and chilling yes, like everything just froze there. I feel stupid thinking that way because I know it's fiction, but some people just lack empathy I guess.
I would be fine with the fact he didn't like it and could mock it afterwards, no problems with that... but laugh at it right there? Isn't it kind of twisted?
