My girlfriend and I wanted to go to the NJ state fair, and found out that on Saturday the 7th, the only people who can get in are people with Live Earth concert tickets. So we decided to buy tickets and go to the Live Earth US. Concert.

Is anybody going to one? They're in the US, the UK, Japan, Germany, Brazil, China, Australia, and South Africa on saturday.

SAVE THE THE PLANET FROM CO2 EMISSIONS CONCERTS!! YAY!

Wonder how many of these were used to haul all of that equipment....platforms....lights??? Hmmmmmm

DANG! LIGHTS!!! Geez..........will all of the stages be lit by those new fancy light bulbs "filled with poisonous Mercury?" How much power will these concerts consume?????

And all those singers and movie stars....... tell me they're not using these things to get there....

Hypocrites...........

This is the biggest bunch of crap I've seen.

Totally agree its a waste of time, think of how much fuel and **** is being used for everyone to get to these places. just basically killing ourselfs faster

They are using energy saving light bulbs where they can and are recycling lots of waste from the events.

and the millions of people trying to get to these shows are what? floating there?

THINK OF THE LARGE NUMBER OF THESE THEY WILL NEED TO HAUL ALL THE TRASH AWAY........

I love logic.........:woot:

You guys make great points. I've changed my mind. I'm going to the Sean Hannity Freedom concerts instead--where I can see such great acts as LeeAnn Rimes and Lee Greenwood. I'm going to celebrate America with a concert sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Additionally, as I visited Hannity's website and tried to vote the way he wouldn't want on the poll, it wouldn't let me. But when I voted the way he'd want--it magically let me.

Hey...at least Hannity is doing his concerts for our troops and their families. He's not being a hypocrite about what he's doing.

I just don't like country music. :yay:

That's exactly what I said to my friends..
It's all a bunch of lies!

The thing is they had a MASSIVE live aid concert in the 80s right? a massive world wide concert to make a bold statement about africa, now they are having them all the time and its losing its impact, was only last year(?) we had Live 8 now Live Earth this year

This concert is a joke. Even McCartney, who made environmentalism fashionable, declined to perform.

I support the environment, but this is rediculous. With the exception of Genesis and Roger Waters, there aren't even any good acts.

Yeah, except for me it's The Police and Roger Waters. Not a big fan of Genesis at all.

That's why you watch it on TV, and enjoy the air conditioning, and the best from all of the venues....
