I know this is not the right place for this but i was trying this in the comics thread with no luck with an answer. i am working on a speech for my public speaking class and my topic is about differences of marvel and dc comics and i was looking for a little help with getting info on one of my topic points in my speech. The one i am having problems on publishing sale figures. I was able to find sales figures for marvel but i havent had any luck with getting any publishing sale figures for dc comics within the past few yrs. So if any one can help me out looking for publishing sale figures for dc comics that would be great help.

ok link is working now but the link shows past before 90s figures and then the ones for the 00s i dont know if it is for marvel or dc so its not much help.

ok was checking the site not really helpin me i dont see the publishing sales figures i need the figures u know like yrly firgures how many dollar worth of sales they(dc) has had say in the past 5-7 yrs. It was easy to get marvels sales figures $$ from their site but dc i havent had the luck finding the info i need.

Call DC directly. They might not tell you on the phone but their secretary might direct you to someone or somewhere that can help

i dont really have the time to go through dc directly i need the info cause my speech is due thursday, i was just trying to see if any one has some links with dc yearly publishing sales figures($$) like i was about to do for marvel, which had the info on there site.

I don't know how accurate this site is but you can look at The Economics of Comics section of zacksite.co.uk. This section gives a comparison of the sales of both Marvel and DC comics since the 1950's. Note that this comparison is in unit sales and not in dollars. You could do another comparison on your own by going to Internal Correspondence Version 2 or (ICV2.com) and look at their top 300 comics each month. I think you can go back a few years there and see what has been going on with most of the the comics publishers (not just only Marvel and DC).

when i started to look for the info a few weeks ago i was able to easily find marvel sales figures off their corparate info page but with dc they didnt have the info i was looking for off their corp page and all the places i have looked havent found what i wanted for dc and the links people have shown me i have seen and they are not what i was looking for and all that.

the professor wants the sources cited where we got the info, i pick the topic which was easy sales figures was one of the 3 main points i wanted to talk about but i jsut havent been able to find dc sales figures. and bill the first link u gave me was a site soem one else sent me and it is not what i was looking for, the second link was share figures i was trying to find the dollar figures of the publishing sales.

Sales figures are somewhere around this board, because I saw a post that had Flash as DC's biggest seller can't remember where I saw it but it was within a month. Do a search in the comics section of the Batman forum, it may have been there since that's the only comic section I frequent.

ok i will try to locate it, u think u could try to locate it too and if u can post a link to the thread or where i can find the info. what i am not looking for separate comics for dc i am looking for yearly sales figures for dc comics in total, i was able to find marvels publishing sales figures off their corp page but dc doesnt have it on there site and i havent had the luck of finding dc info anywhere.
