Our last report on Warner Bros.' long-mooted The Lost Boys 2 was a mawkish affair. As it turns out, the on-air wetworks was merely a display of crocodile tears.

ShockTillYouDrop.com has exclusively learned from an anonymous source that the vampire-slayin' Frog Bros. - Feldman and Jamison Newlander - are indeed returning for the next "Lost" adventure...and so is Corey Haim, reprising his role as Sam Emerson.

Lensing begins, with P.J. Pesce (From Dusk Till Dawn 3) at the helm, a week from Monday.

On the newcomer tip, we've also been informed Angus Sutherland - Keifer's half-brother (and son of Donald Sutherland and Francine Racette) - will star as this film's big bad vamp.

Tad Hilgenbrink (next seen in the upcoming Amusement) and Autumn Reeser ("The O.C.") have been cast as the leads.

I saw a clip of that last week or so and Feldman claimed he was contacted to appear in the movie and declined. He also said that they told him they weren't going to offer Haim a part in it. Haim proceeded to break down in tears.

I bet this happened because of Corey crying on his new show. After that. The studio knew they couldn't do the sequel without everybody on board. This is good news. I am looking forward to it. I just wish they could some how get Keifer resurrected.

I loved the first, thought the second will suck until I just read the Coreys will be returning. Now I can't wait to see this.

Schumacher isn't needed on here, he was just a tool on the first.

As sad as that was, I had to laugh when Feldman said "You did Ninja Turtles 2 without me and that was pretty ****ed up."

I think it's great that WB has caved to what people wanted. I'm sure it'll still be a DTV movie and everything, but the original pitch they announced - the one with a new group of kids fighting some new surfer vampires - who really cared about that? What fans of the original would give a crap?

Surfer vampires? Last I heard they were doing Lost Girls where it would practically the same thing except all girls. Or was that a different idea??

Yeah, that predated the surfer vampires/DTV with new group of boys.
