Could it be possible to have a forum dedicated to the tv show "LOST"?

The fanbase for the show is already part of these boards and just one thread for it is very chaotic.

It's not really comic book related...but then again, neither is Anime, so I dont think it would be a bad idea :o

YES! I second this emission!!

and plus theres alot of comic related things on the show. They have writers like Damon Lindelof, Paul Dini, Jeph Loeb and probably more. Also there was a Flash/Green Lantern comic that played a pretty small but important role on the show.

Most anime are based off manga which are Japan's version of comic books. Except they keep their pages black & white.

Yeah i think so, weve got the main Lost thread but that does get really cluttered and with a show the size of Lost where every little thing can be analyzed I think it could use its own section.

the LOST forum would help keep the spoilers away from character discussions and plot speculation.

nah, leave it all in the same thread.

if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it

;)

Yeah but one thread feels a bit small now, weve got all the spoilers, Lost Experience, new episode chat, theories and people tend to get moaned at when they talk about something thats already been spoken about. Its a big thread to have to search through.

personally i feel there are loads of massive threads, normally people who are around are polite enough to inform people on whether a subject has come up or not or are even polite enough to rego through old points to bring someone up to date.

giving a forum to lost opens a pandora's box for any potential popular show where reasoning is 'lost got a forum, why can't we?'

and the last thing the hype needs is a reason for people to nag more.

Well if it doesnt get its own forum then I think people in there really need to be more helpful. There are members in that thread who will take the piss out of theories and complain at people who ask questions.

And if we start opening more LOST related threads in the Misc. TV forum, then the other posters will start saying there already is a LOST thread.

there are two lost threads already. though....

there's the uk one which has died down but one is always welcome to put down scenarios down, just as long as they don't spoil it for those who haven't seen the relevant eps yet and you don't end up spoiling it for us.

Well the UK one may be alright but the US one tends to be quite hostile sometimes.

just get the uk one up again, it ran fine for the first season and the early part of this one, the only reason it died was because people were unwilling to wait until the second season came out in the uk so instead they started downloading and caughtup with their american counterparts.

you're more than welcome to ressurect it and discuss what you wish their as long as you don't put in future spoilers, even stuff seen on E4 a week before the terrestrial viewers see it should technically be in spoilers.

don't forget the season 2 dvd is coming out soon, it will get a new flow of fans dissecting every single second of the show, a single thread won't be enough.

it was enough for the first series

why should this be any different?

Yeah but I "aquire" Lost eps so id be too far ahead to chat properly. I still watch all the eps when they air over here but ive already seen them.

because a third season is coming.
you're going to have people talking about the dvds, the characters, plotlines, possible spoilers, theories... and i'm pretty sure the show at least has a couple of seasons more planned.

you're only 3-4 ahead max, you could either wait till your question becomes relative or just put it in the other thread. peer pressure is generally not a problem.

you only have to look at the size of topics like the venom threads and all the notions that are repeated in them, having more threads were the same thing is discussed isn't necessary unless the time frame of viewing always puts a demographic at an advantage (hence why regional threads on the same programmes are generally allowed

when the first series dvds came out, the second series was coming

and people were talking about the dvds,m the characters, plotlines, possible spoilers and theories back then and they were doing it all in one thread.

why should this upcoming dvd box set and series bring about a change from status quo?

Its easily more than 3-4 eps ahead, id say more than half a season
