President Drakon doesn't care about Lost people. :csad:

Ew, who deleted my post which violated no rules?

Anyhow. It uh... I forgot how it went, thanks a f**kin' lot. :cmad:

Something about how no mods watch Lost, so they couldn't care less.

Which sucks.

And I want to rape something, the system I think and dump the body in a ditch.

Oooh yes, I would  it. But not more than I  Kmack. Or  JoLiE. Or  Toven. Or  Jess. Or  everyone else.

Uh huh, sure.

So I wonder who'll delete these four posts. Probably the same person who deleted the previous four, eh, Dog Lips? :cmad:

You were behind dividing the games forum up but not this? Is it really that hard to add another forum? And what bad guy. wtf. What's going on.

Dividing the games forum had purpose, far beyond just what I let everyone know. I honestly woulda ignored the request, had I not had other motives that fit the bill. No, it's not that hard to make a new forum, but you've gotta see it like this. It'd be another place that'd have to be modded, because of the flamewars. It's, quite frankly, the polar opposite of what the site represents [if those schmucks had powers, they'd not be LOST, now would they?] It'd be like adding a clothes department, electronics department, and a hot dog stand in your favourite local comic shop--unnecessary and besides the point.

And it's not that none of us watch the show or anything of the sort [I personally don't, but I can't speak for anyone else here]. Just that, in all honestly, it'd be redundant. THE TICK deserves a forum more than LOST. It's about a hero, and he's had his own comics, cartoon, live-action show [which was Seinfeld in Spandex, basically], and, if I'm not mistaken, it's own movie was being thrown around. That deserves it's own forum more than LOST ever would.

I can't believe you called the people on Lost "Schmucks."

Yup. Schmucks.

It's becoming apparent that Desmond's gaining psychic powers and used them for good in to save others in Every Man For Himself.

Surely that constitutes a superhero?

But there's no demand for a forum for The Tick, it'd be like the Daredevil forums a year after that movie's release. Unless the movie gets greenlit and isn't just up in the air, then cool, whatever, have a sexy party with that. The Lost thread in the Misc. TV forum is entirely clutter and finding people's theories and thoughts and whatnot is nearly impossible. And some of them have had good ones.

You just told me you're not going to make it because you don't care, and you don't want to throw a little extra workload onto the moderation of this place. Well, "flame wars" happen in the thread all the time. And it only adds to the clutter and shoves quality away. Making a Lost forum would hardly be excessive. It's not just about people who crashed and are Lost, and if it was I'm sure they'd have gotten s**tty ratings and the show would've been canned before all of season 1 aired. It's one of those shows where everything is mysterious, and you have to keep watching and speculating if you'd like to find out more. And when you do find out more five more things are added to f**k with your head. Sure it isn't anything super heroic but some things have happened that could be seen as supernatural. It's not just about a bunch of schmucks wandering around lost, which is why you seem so keen to shoot this idea down.

There's no chance of changing minds on this unless they come out with a Lost comic book or something as it looks now, but if you really wanted to get across with Lost being out of place here, you shouldn't have listed three things that'd make a comic book shop rock.

Agreed, there's no demand. But it stands a better chance to get a forum than LOST, simply because it meets other criteria [with the exception of being in production]

Just for the record--Mirko makes the desicions. If he were to come in here and say "Sure"--well, I know I'd look like an idiot, but that's the nature of the beast. And I have nothing against the show-I just like the word "Schmucks".

I'll discuss this more later, when I'm not working on 25 minutes of sleep in three days, and not facing a weekend with an energetic 9 year old. This isn't a blow-off--merely a postponement.:yay:

Like them or not--they'd still be unnecessary and besides the point.

Wrestling and LOST have more fans here than The Tick and any other tv show.
Lost has action figures, it spawned the show Heroes, and it has a very comicbook-y feeling to it. More people visit the Lost thread than some of the other comicbook related threads.

Bottomline, none of the mods like Lost, so there will be no subforum. (Elijya, Morg????)

There were supposed to be comics..

From Sci-Fi Wire:

Damon Lindelof, co-creator of the hit ABC TV series Lost, told SCI FI Wire that a comic-book version of the show maybe a long while in coming. "We've been trying to do a Lost comic book since the show's inception," Lindelof said in an interview. "It's just a matter of figuring out what the comic book is going to be. We don't want the comic book to function outside the mythology of the show. We wouldn't want the comic book to give people more insight into the show and its characters than the average viewer would have."

Lindelof, who is currently writing Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk for Marvel Comics, said that the big stumbling block for the Lost comic book is how to tell stories about the island without using the characters that are currently on the show. "My guess is that if there is a Lost comic book, it will be an outside-the-box idea," he said. "We've been talking about variations on the backstories as one possible way of doing it. Something along the lines of the French woman's team coming to the island; something that would not bump into what's going on with the show."

Lindelof offers that while decisions about things like comic books are ultimately handled by the network and the studio, which own the show, he would love to be involved in a Lost comic book if it happens. "I would love to do a Lost comic, but it would be tough. Ideas for the show are so hard to come by that any ideas I got for the comics, I would automatically want to put them on the show."

I like Lost, it's just not my call

Just to point it out, I forgot to close a quotation, so the quote you have from me is really from Master Chief.

And again, even if they were comics, they still have to fit the criteria of saving the city/world/universe on a somewhat regular basis to be considered superheroes.

And again, don't take it like I'm hating on the show just cause I don't watch it--that's not the point. It just doesn't have a place here.

You just told me you're not going to make it because you don't care, and you don't want to throw a little extra workload onto the moderation of this place. It's not that I don't wanna add extra workload for the team [again, it's Mirko's call in the long run] Just that there are so many other potential forums that DO deserve a slot [Avengers, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern if memory serves] it'd be stupid to make yet another new forum that really has nothing to do with the #1 priority of this site--comic hero movies [and to a lesser extent, television shows]. If we decided to just add supernatual stuff too, then we'd deserve a John Edwards-Crossing Over forum, and a Ripley's Belive it or Not forum, and countless others which still don't conform to #1.

I ... I watch Lost. :csad:

But don't tell anyone. :csad:

I think Drakon is right. I watch the show every week, but that doens't mean it should be here. It just doesn't fit the site.

What about BSG? Why not get a forum for that, too.
And House?
How about one for Survivor?
How about none of them, including Lost. :)

Wrong, I watch it :p

How about a brain cancer forum. :whatever:

PS I can't believe this thread is still open. Quit giving people false hope, close it.

its not comic/superhero related (but sawyer and kate remind me of rogue and gambit) so it shouldn't have its own subforum. if you wanna talk about lost in a forum with other lost fans go to a lost site. Unless they all got there because superman crashed the plane for a sick version of the sims then alright you should get your subforum lol :woot:
