Well, the Pokemon YouTube community exploded into a disgusting mess over the weekend. Multiple pedophilia, grooming, and blackmailing scandals popped up at the same time. Involving some large YouTubers in the Pokemon community. With others admitting they knew about it, and kept quiet.

I knew that the Pokemon YouTube community was toxic, I just didn't know that it was criminal too.

Probably not. I'll spoiler it, and try to shorten it as much as I can. Truth be told, I'm not subbed to any of these guys/gals. I was watching an unrelated stream when everyone started talking about it, so I looked it up.

First story. Two women came out, and said while they were underaged. A Pokemon YouTuber named Dekadurr pressured them into sending him nudes. They were fans of his, and he would flirt with them via text, and email. They shared the texts after coming out with the allegations, saying he still has their pics. Before anymore could come out he deleted his YouTube channel, and all social media accounts.

Second story. A Pokemon YouTuber with 500,000+ sub's by the name of TheKingNappy, who does a lot of collaborations in that community. Pressured an, at the time, 16 year old HoodlumScrafty, another YouTuber with 300,000+ sub's, into a relationship. HoodlumScrafty said he didn't have many friends at the time, and wasn't even sure about his sexuality yet. The over 20+ KingNappy basically said if he didn't agree to date him he was out, and would lose his online friends circle. Another YouTuber came out with a similar story of KingNappy trying to pressure him into a relationship.

Third story. Another Pokemon YouTuber named Mudkipmama pressured an underaged guy into a relationship. I don't know as much about this particular story. I'd have to reread the tweets, and Reddit thread. I believe it involved cheating as well.

After that, a few more bigger Pokemon YouTubers confirmed some of the stories. One saying he told Dekadurr, "Cut out that pedophile bull****". Yet none of them actually did anything to stop it.

The rest of the weekend, after the fallout, they basically started throwing each other under the bus. Telling bad stories about each other, ect.

Pretty messed up for a community of adults making videos marketed towards a primarily younger audience. I wouldn't be surprised if more stories broke, as this all came out in a short period of time.
