Luke had no idea who the pretty little sister in line at the coffee kiosk behind him was, but she was extremely clumsy, bumping up against him twice before he finally moved aside and let her up front ahead of him.
At that point he noticed she was apparently half blind, one eye was filmed over like it had been burned in a fire,.. but the rest of her face was undamaged.
She turned and looked up at him after finding herself suddenly up front. Long Black hair in a braided cornrow style framed her face. Except for the eye (which she had no trouble exposing to the world) she was a strong looking beauty.
Thank you was said in obvious surprise with the bite that told him she fully expected him to hit on her. There was nothing wrong with her and before Jessica he wouldve been on this like white on rice but he was a married man now with a daughter.
The woman wore a long coat expected for Norms this time of year,
No Prob was what he said in reply as he gave her a good look to aknowledge her with a small smile and nod before looking over her head toward the counter.
She continued to look at him for a beat more before turning herself and placing her order.
Joanna found him fairly easily. For a fugitive from the law, Luke Cage was one man who didnt try too hard to stay hidden. He was known in the neighborhood and could be found either in his Bar or walking the streets of New York in the vicinity of Stark Tower.
It was no secret that his wife and child had taken refuge there just before the Skrull invasion. In fact word on the street was that the couple were on the outs because of it.
In any event now that she had found him, she went to the next step in her plan.
Luke took his coffee and headed for the door planning another day of walking around Stark tower only to run down the pretty sister, knocking her down and spilling her drink. He noted that she was heavier and more solid than she looked as he helped her up.
He had to repeat himself as he asked her was she okay, she clutched at his forearms as he easily lifted her back onto her feet.
Ohh Im sorry was all she said before pushing off him and moving toward the door.
Luke wondered if he should follow he for a bit when she declined a replacement coffee but instead staggered out the door and down the street.
With a sigh he followed to make sure she would be okay.
Joanna smiled to herself as she wove her way away from the kiosk. He had taken the bait and would soon be right where she wanted.
Luke was sure after the first two blocks that she wanted him to follow her. As an actress his wife did a better job and Jessica couldnt even do a good impression of herself. This woman was horrible as a damsel in distress.
As a hero Luke was used to traps like this. He preferred letting than be sprung on him to keep the property damage down.
When she entered the condemned building left over from the Dust up with the Hulks return, Luke quickly cut across the street to get in before they (whoever they are) could set their trap.
Joanna Cargill Doffed the coat as she entered the building and stretched as she quickly moved to the middle of the building where she had cleared a space.
Cage was supposed to mirror her powers to a lesser degree,.. the data shed gotten from the old shield files shed bought from the fixer stated he had steel Hard skin and strength in the three ton range.
Cake.
Shed simply beat him down and take what she wanted.
She picked her spot and let herself drop to the floor. Less than a minute later she heard his heavy tread as Luke eased into the doorway and stood looking out across the empty expanse of floor to where she lay waiting for him.
Luke scanned the walls of the room looking for the obvious trap. Except a large table against one wall festooned with straps the room only had the woman laying loosely on her side in the middle now wearing a colorful one piece costume that seemed faintly familiar..
Sighing to himself, Luke decided to get it over with and quickly strode across the room toward the woman.
As he reached the woman,.. she suddenly spun on her side and did a leg sweep that put the man onto his behind. As he hit the concrete she turned the spin into a flat dive that put her ontop.
Sitting across his chest with her knees on his arms with an honestly evil smile she started swinging at his head.
Luke was more surprised than hurt. The woman swinging so hard felt about as strong as Spiderman,.. who while able to hurt him using something more durable than his fists would do more damage to himself before he could hurt Luke Cage bare-handed.
After the third or fourth fist upside his head - Luke casually grabbed a wrist and flipped her off of him.
Joanna was very surprised to see Luke watching her hit him before flicking her off his body like she were nothing but a mild irritation.
Rolling to his feet Luke raised then dropped his arms in a calming gesture.
Okay Lady,
that was your one with me. Now tell what you want or Ill spank you.
Joannas surprise became anger as this,
.. man, talked down to her.
Spank?
She charged and threw a punch that put Luke back on the floor.
