I have no choice but to blame the ferrets. Clearly, they're the reason it was cloudy tonight
Dude what an eclipse! It's these kinds of moments I really feel lucky. Only the second time this has happened since 1 A.D.?? I have a good feeling about this next year![]()
Personally I'd rather see a lunar eclipse than be super tired at work...but thats just me.Lets see...be super tired at work the next day or see something that occurs every year but just happened to occur on a different date. Hmmmmmmm.

I really don't understand, didn't this already happen in 2007?? Just go on youtube and you'll see the same lunar eclipse from that year that alot of ppl saw this morning. Anyway, I can't tell you what a huge disappointment it was. All I saw was the morning being blotted out with a light orangey glow, which quite frankly was much more impressive on youtube for chrissakes. Maybe I needed a telescope to get a better effect, but the color shift was not particularly impressive using my eyes. I was actually more impressived with the fact that I could just almost see the stars which is pretty much impossible considering the city I live in. Anyone else see bright dots of light in the sky as well? Were those satellites or something?
Nah I've seen them before when I was a spry young lad in school and we got extra credit for taking pictures.
Now if it's something that you can see or experience that literally is a once in a lifetime event, like what will happen in 2012, then I will stay up for it. If it's something that happens every year but just on a different date then no. If it gave me superpowers or allowed me to become a werewolf or something then yes.
It was the first total lunar eclipse in the Winter Solstice in like 372 years I think..not to mention a full moon. Thats pretty rare in my opinion. I was glad to be up to see it.
I endorse this post.Seeing the eclipse this morning reinvigorated my love for the stars. I used to be really into astronomy, and had a telescope a long while back. I used to look at all the constellations and planets. I missed those days. The sky is so beautiful at night sometimes.
