About a year and half ago a friends young daughter (about 11) was diagnosed with a very agressive form of cancer. She spent over a year at The Connecticut Chidrens Medical Center in Hartford receiving cutting edge treatment. She and her family went through hell and back but thankfully the treatment worked and she is now in remission. There is a period of time that she now has to go though to see that the cancer does not come back. The Make A Wish foundation was contacted and it was her wish along with three other girls to go to the grammy's.They were able to walk down the red carpet and meet several celebrities. Beyoncee toldmy friends daughter that she looked beautiful and that she loved her dress. That one night to have a huge star say something like that to her well for one night at least she had no worries.I'm not an emotional person but as her dad is telling me this it really got to me.What great work the Make A Wish foundation does

What a very sweet thing to read. Thank you for posting it. I agree The Make A Wish foundation has done so much to bring moments of a lifetime to people all over the nation. I am happy to hear her dream came true that night.

that was really nice of them, sure she'll treasure it forever :) nice to hear she in remission now

I had a real good friend in high school who died of cancer. The Make-a-Wish Foundation put a killer stereo in his car. Made him so happy. I wish you would have posted this sooner. I'm a member of www.procustomizers.com, (link in my signature), and they just closed an auction on eBay where 100% of the proceeds went to Make-a-Wish. Check them out, I'm sure they'll do another.
