Making sure the right songs go on the IPod?

I have a Ipod and just bought my fiance one, but how do i stop my songs in my Itunes library going into her Ipod (and vise versa) is there any way we can have seperate libraries of songs. Anyone else have 2 Ipods and one computer, what do you do?

make two playlist, one for each. if the songs from the library automatically go in the ipod when you connect it, erase them then put the songs from your playlist into the ipod.

May all sorts of custom playlists and smart playlists.
